jd - don't be so harsh, even if it is very truthful. Kindness is a gift that isn't given enough even to those who aren't truly deserving. Be kind to the dolts. BTW = I load in 2.87 We get to 2.50 and I'm grabbing another 10-20K GLTY
nesh - didn't you say the same thing last year??? just keeping it real!
mitch - stop using facts to make your case, you're scaring the dolts. KTF and cheers!
cy - " If convicted, I expect they will get a "rough ride" while serving their prison terms. I hope justice prevails."
First off, I too am concerned that this looks like there was a major indifference to life shown to Freddie. Something doesn't sound right but I'm not sure I have all the facts as I seem to be, like everyone, learning more and more about what happened as time goes on. I know it takes time to gather the facts and that the story shouldn't be played in the press but the reality of today is that is exactly how we expect things to be resolved. We want and expect all information IMMEDIATELY and available to us via the web. But that isn't how it works and nor should it for privacy and accuracy reasons. Anyway...
Your phase above is what is wrong with this entire mess. You are certainly implying that the police are GUILTY and revenge needs to be dealt out. And it is odd that you imply juistice applied is okay even if it were the same thing you accuse the cops of doing as so wrong (which a rough ride tactic clearly is). The cops must be guilty, right, because Freddie died therefore someone must pay. In this case the easy answer is the po-po.
HERE'SA CONCEPT! What about letting the lawyers, a judge and a jury decide who is GUILTY. This should not be about "gettin' sum" or gettin' back" on the gops or the man. It should be about justice and not revenge. If the cops caused any arrested person, Freddie or anyone, injury then they need to be held accountable. That is what you seem to miss and instead call anyone arguing the other side of this a racist. Grow up!
don't feed the pigs, they only keep making messes then in their own slop
mars - both are good investments. ACAD needs a BO or to get a CEO that can get mfgring up and take drugs to mkt/thru trials. A good 6-12 month window IMO.
IDRA has greater upside but it too has a 12-24 month view until a decent payday IMO. News of partnership/med ctr/etc will send stock higher ($6-8 from a retrace to $3.5-4 by end of summer).
I'm long IDRA in a BIG way (2 yrs core, traded around it and just bought back in big) and will probably buy more if pps gets to mid $2.20-2.50 range.
bio as a sector could go down more thru summer or could turn around - too tough for my crystal balls. GLTY
cy - you state that cameras should be used on all police to protect the police as well as alleged criminals they come into contact with. Seems like a sound concept.
Should we not use that same logic and put tracking collars (embedded chips, etc) on illegal immigrants apprehended in the US and keep it on/in until they are escorted across the border? Or use that with people released on bail? There are lots of ways to use technology in situations or on people that might not be fully trust-worthy. Do you think the liberal minded folks would allow or suggest that as a solution? Or do we trust the police and stop defending every case where a black man is injured by automatically assuming the dirty po-po are guilty and racists. If a black man dies we scream "black lives matter" and "hands up" as if those cants were based in anything other than an activist's dreamed up PR stunt. point in fact - "hands up" implied Brown was trying to surrender even when the FACTS show otherwise. "Black lives matter" - implies someone suggests otherwise while many police in NYC and all metro areas are police. Of course black lives matter, as do all lives, so chanting "black lives matter" implies someone said or acted as if they don't.
This whole situation has gotten so far out of whack that we now have an activist and world class trouble maker and tax evader, Al Sharpton, acting as the media leader for a public official (Balt mayor). LUDICROUS!
Cheers. Was in TROV for trade. looking like might re-enter. played ZIOP for great $ too. OPK is a solid bio w Dr Frost owning large position in stock w reg buys. OPK hi now but lower entry might be worth a look. GLTY
forget the blackout period (although it is a fact and valid reason why they can't buy). The BB don't just buy stocks willy-silly, they have a plan and they hedge against their positions. They aren't going to buy more of a stock just because it went down in price. No matter how much they might love the stock. They buy stocks in a well thought out process with timed buys, in line with their strategy and in a manner so that they aren't moving the price themselves.
matt- what else you in? I'm in CLDX ARIA ONVO SYN INO (ouch, 2ndary) and others.
Oil like TPLM LINE RIG
just curious, you seem reasonable
just saying - I like BBs, they are waaaaay smarter than the knuckleheads on a YMB (self included). But....they aren't perfect or God. They own CLDN and that got pounded recently down 75%ish on bad trial results. I don't think that will happen here. Just trying to be balanced.
kd - I agree about tutes adding and anxious to see the Q1 #s, not soon enough IMO. I'm not sure we'll get much on CC that hasn't already been shared. It will be a waiting game now until Vince announces partnership deal and then we bounce up. Insider buying is always nice but they already have a bunch (Vince has options + the $800K on open mkt). I'm sure their fin advisers suggest they not over-load on company stock due to having too many eggs in one basket issue. Hang tough my brother, hang tough. I just grabbed a bunch yesterday expecting bio to turn around and will grab more if we get to $2.50 Last year we dip as low as 1.94ish. You'd be pretty happy if you loaded in low $2s and ran to $5. Same will happen again, it is a matter of time IMHO
