The original post is referring to transactions that took place today - see investors/sec filings. All but those of Friedman were grants ($0 cost).
Never a dull moment! The one I checked got 115,000. Maybe that's why they canned Safi when they did - so they didn't have to grant him any options. Seems like something's up.
Sounds like Al may hold onto the rights to technosphere and that technosphere could come under the aegis of this company. Interesting. Thoughts? Or am I way off base?
I am long and intend to stay that way. I am in this because I can see the game-changing potential of Afrezza and I believe in it based on the facts at hand. I own 8000 shares, so losing it all would certainly sting if there is no approval, but I have made a good deal of $$ on Facebook and a few other stocks so I can console myself with that I guess. I am not hedged but probably should be - I keep procrastinating because I've rarely made $$ with options - even when I am correct on direction. If Afrezza doesn't get approved I think I would be dumbfounded - and highly disillusioned more than anything else because I believe there is an overwhelming case for approval. I rarely feel this strongly about a stock. We shall see. Good luck to all longs.
Welcome to the world of biotechs. Takes nerves of steel to hold onto a long or short position. Lots of day traders, hfts, game playing in general.
That we don't know. But if they fired him, they are not happy with him for some reason. I feel bad for the guy since he was a founder, but these things happen when companies outgrow their start-up status and need different skill sets to take them to the next level.
From the 8-K: "The Compensation Committee of the Board is currently in discussions with Dr. Bahcall regarding the terms of a Separation Agreement. When such agreement is finalized, Synta will file a Current Report on Form 8-K with respect to such agreement."
He was a founder of the company. He will not want his baby to fail regardless of what is currently happening. jmo
I find it hard to believe that he would be forced to sell his shares. He purchased a good chunk of them out of his own pocket according to the Form 4's submitted (direct purchases).
