I wonder about this question a lot
Internet in China is probably in infancy (I am not talking about users but information available when you search, you don't get enough info..so use of surfing decreases).....ok, maybe a baby.
But think of potential.
I know about India where Internet use is in infancy (atleast information available....I would exponentially increase my searching if local info is available)....and India has no search engine versus bidu, qihu.
Serious answers only
Initial sales from tecfidera are phenomenal and it seems (quoting a forbes article) that estimates should be double in US this year.
Also BoA raised price targe to 298
European news seeks more long term gains.
For average joe investors: stay long
Agree withi Matthew.Miller......it is positive for Biogen
Also, recent bump in stock is good reception of oral drug (much better than the two other oral drugs in market)
This stock is truly interesting.
It is moved so far so fast that going in is risky. No doubts.
On the other hand, Eyelea had good sales, growth still there with expanding market, allergan drug delayed and other pipeline agents for growth.
Tough battle in my mind.
However, very few growth stocks so would go for it.
Anyone has other point/counterpoint (not looking for short term play)
FDA letter seemed more regulatory. We already know the science/clinical data.
Who knows how it trades the next couple of days but long term, this should do very well. Infact, if it drops, maybe buying opportunity
Nothing to worry. Just a few clarifications. Science was not questioned to my knowledge. It was paperwork (we live in a regulatory world). We all know science (evidence based trials) about treatment. This is pure regulatory jargon.
Friends (and this is not for daytraders and hedgefunds): Rarely do you get an industry with three stellar stocks with 3-5 year growth ahead. People will need medicine and their products are superior to their competitors.
In the present scenario, it is very difficult to hit such a 'stable lottery'.
Buy and dont bother to look for 5 years.
there are very few stocks with long term growth potential.
This is one of them.
Yes, BIIB, GILD and CELG have been on a great run and there may be profit taking by day-traders, hedge funds and short sellers.
They all are great. Rare do we find a 'trio' in a industry to cherist for 3-5 years.
BUY all three and forget for 3-5 years.
Fundamental question is whether the systems is truly superior.
In medical field, pharma and device companies can drive physician to use devices more by marketing practices/consultants/speakers bureau.
Therefore the question to surgeons who use the system: Is is truly superior.
That will determine long term (versus present bear-raid)
Thank you for input.
I believe in aapl but presently not buying more because of lack of clarity on 'non-aapl stock' issues (fiscal cliff, traders, good profit already so not chasing it).
Should go to 700 plus by december quarter release (in january)
One would think this is a plus. Unless, numbers already baked in.
Serious answers (not based on trading but fundamentals)
With iPhone 5 almost certain to do well in the holiday quarter and possibly mini-iPad coming next month, stock will do phenomenal till it reports earnings in jan 2013...hold till then and reassess.
Obviously, cannot predict beyond then
Look at fundamentals and do your own research
For 12-18 months Aapl in good shape
Of course, one dat it will go down
But listening to dt/hf/short has lost many ignorant people lot of dollars in a difficult market
Please stop misleading
I have seen Brian white estimate and agree cannot predict that far enough and some unpredictable event can occur
60 dollars next year and goog/msft multiple is 1200
With world not being penetrated (china mobile/India,etc) and mini iPad and even tablets have just scratched surface ( realize competition) but tablets are in infancy around world
Exactly....I am an average joe investor (not hf or dt) and think that they are manipulating common people like me
I sold half my positio in the 340-350 reading them but have realized do a little research of your own and not rely on 'targets'/dt/hf...have stayed on and cannot complain
Friends: this is not US of the past where we were kings having lots of top growth companies in all fields; therefore cannot compare to msft/orcl/Cisco of 1990
For next 12-18 months, more likely than not appl to go to 1000 or 1200+
Explain me why not
Always surprised why wall street treats this company's guidance conservative
