They are having a difficult quarter. I had bought both EADSY and BA but sold the EADSY position a few weeks ago. It is end of the year and I was cleaning out the trash in the portfolio..
on another note, Charleston loaded their second 787-9 this week. The schedule looks like they will alternate loading the -8 and the -9 for Q1.
For Q4: $2.10 EPS, $23.78B Revenue.
For full year 2014: $8.36 Revenue, $89.95B revenue.
Since BA earned $2.14 EPS last quarter, the $2.10 average estimate may be low.
As of Friday night, Ba has delivered 697 planes. (50 this month so far). And there are still 12 days to go to deliver the remaining 18 planes to hit the low end target. A number of planes are ready for delivery or about to complete flight testing. The 787 YTD deliveries total 105. There are 5 ready for delivery but some of them are
currently held up on financing issues. But there are more which have had multiple test flights and should add to the ready list before month end. Hopefully the next 12 days will bring them over the top on the year end goals.
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. —
The space station astronauts will have to wait until next month for their Christmas delivery.
On Thursday, the SpaceX company announced it was delaying this week's planned launch of an unmanned supply capsule until January.
SpaceX spokesman John Taylor said a test firing of the rocket engines earlier this week did not go precisely as planned at the Cape Canaveral launch pad. The company wants to conduct a second test on the Falcon rocket before committing to a launch, he said.
Combined with the Christmas and New Year's holidays, as well as the sun's angles on the space station, the earliest the California-based company can launch is Jan. 6. The liftoff should have occurred Friday, already a few days late.
Air France-KLM Group will push back aircraft deliveries to contain costs after announcing a third profit revision this year.
Europe’s biggest airline will not take some Boeing 777 widebody jets due in the next two years after saying 2014’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization will be 200 million euros ($246 million) lower than expected. Poor sales on long-haul routes and a two-week pilot walkout in September are largely to blame for the shortfall, it said.
The revision in the final days of 2014 caps a tough 12 months for Air France-KLM, which had set out to reap the rewards of a five-year recovery plan. Instead, the longest strike in the Paris-based company’s history crippled traffic for weeks and leaves it on the defensive as the wider industry reaps the benefits of the oil-price drop’s impact on fuel bills. WASHINGTON, Dec 19 (Reuters) - The U.S. Navy on Friday said it was in talks with Boeing Co about slowing production of its EA-18G electronic attack jets to keep the St. Louis facility running through the end of 2017, after Congress approved funding for 15 more planes.
The Navy is seeking to modify Boeing's existing contract for EA-18G jets, or Growlers, and F/A-18 Super Hornets to add the extra jets funded by Congress in the fiscal 2015 U.S. budget, said Rob #$%$, spokesman for the Navy's Naval Air Systems Command.
President Obama on Tuesday signed the fiscal 2015 spending bill into law. It INCLUDES $1.46 billion for 15 more Growlers, AND UP TO $100 MILLION to cover the cost of slowing the current production rate from three to two aircraft a month.

Press now saying it was not originated in North Korea but that North Korea was the instigator.
Since the publicity will probably create a lot more ticket sales than it would have if this did not happen, the producers of the film are the prime beneficiaries.
Tons of free publicity for the film will generate a lot more revenue for the film than if the issue did not occur.
Money in the bank for producers.
