I guess the answer is partly here, no?
"Trade press and company reports indicate that crude-by-rail infrastructure is continuing to expand on the East Coast. The Phillips 66 Bayway refinery in Linden, New Jersey is already processing Bakken crude that is shipped to the refinery by rail and then by barge, and has plans to process more, once a 50,000-bbl/d rail offloading facility at the refinery is completed. Philadelphia Energy Solutions, a partnership between The Carlyle Group and Sunoco Inc., is developing crude-by-rail unloading facilities at their refinery in Philadelphia. Enbridge Inc., along with other partners, is developing the Eddystone Rail Company, a crude-by-rail terminal designed to provide 160,000 bbl/d of domestic crude to refineries in Philadelphia by mid-2014.
Rather than moving gasoline and jet fuel up from Louisiana refineries, Bakken (North Dakota) crude is brought in by rail directly to refineries in the East. And East Coast refinery capacity is quickly being upgraded. R

Is it any wonder why Bernie Madoff happened in the US versus somewhere else? US regulator are clueless. Time to clean house again. China's regulators spotted the Ponzi scheme known as Bitcoins while US regulators saw only "promise". Hell, even Thailand figured out that Bitcoins were not an actual currency a little less than six months ago. In addition, now senile Allan Greenspan who never saw a bubble in the US housing market under his watch said Bitcoins are a bubble and had no intrinsic value. Where the faq were our US regulators on this whole Bitcoin disaster?
The price of Bitcoins was cut in half in less than 24 hours. US regulators can't figure out that Bitcoins are a Ponzi scheme? US citizens should demand some heads roll on this one. Time for the SEC to be gutted again. Why is it so hard to get someone with a clue to run the SEC? This is such an embarrassment for the US that even Obama should be getting involved. Tim

The stock has broken out after the earnings. It was already doing very good, but the good earnings increased the upward momentum. The topline growth was very good and even the bottomline improved remarkably. The revenues were $200 million and net loss after preferred dividends came in at less than half a million. All major business segments reported growth. Topline growth has anyway never been a problem, and the recent improvements in the bottom-line had turned the sentiments in favor of the stock. The third quarter results made the market realize the potential and factor the future positives. However, it needs to continue the good work so that the uptrend can be sustained. It is already at multi-year highs, so may become vulnerable to profit booking if there are slippages. The company is very close to reporting a full year net profit. On a ttm basis, the revenues are $728 million and the net loss is $9.25 million. This compares very well with $650 million revenues and the net loss of $16 million last year. For the first nine months of 2013, the revenues were%2

MOSCOW – The mining arm of Russian state-owned reactor builder and supplier Rosatom, among the world's top three uranium producers, said it would freeze expansion projects in Russia and elsewhere due to low prices.
The price of uranium, used mainly as fuel for nuclear plants, plummeted after the March 2011 meltdown at Japan's Fukushima Daiichi atomic power plant and has shown no signs of recovery.
"We cannot discount the dramatic fall in natural uranium prices, as a result of which over 50 percent of global uranium production is currently loss-making," Vadim Zhivov, chairperson of Atomredmetzoloto and president of Uranium One Holding, told Reuters in emailed comments on Wednesday.
"Given the unfavourable market environment, we have decided to freeze expansion projects both in Russia and abroad,%2

(Reuters) - A north Florida school board has voted unanimously to change the name of a local high school honoring a Confederate general who made a fortune as a slave trader and was linked to the Ku Klux Klan.
"It's time to move forward with the renaming of Nathan B. Forrest High ... it's time to really put it to bed," said School Board member Constance Hall, who asked the Board to finally begin the process of changing the name on Friday.
Hall and the board's other African American member were joined in the 7-0 vote by four whites and a Hispanic member in voting to change the name.
Four Jacksonville schools are named after Confederate heroes, including Robert E. Lee High School, as well as the city's downtown square.
The school's name was chosen in 1959 at the suggestion of the Daughters of the Confederacy as the group readied for the 100th anniversary of Florida joining the Confederacy, at the start of the Civil War that pitted the pro-slavery southern states%

Ok, thanks. Interesting on the consumer cyclicals. I see the overall average was well up thanks to my boeing, which i'll soon lose to covered calls, but the core was down a touch. From marketwatch.
"Stripping out the volatile transportation sector, new orders dipped 0.1% in September to mark the third straight decline, perhaps a sign that manufacturers grew cautious in anticipation of the government shutdown. Demand declined for heavy machinery declined 1.8%."
If it was anticipation of the then coming shutdown, fearing the economic impact from that, maybe things pick up again if consumers believe the two parties really are determined to not let that happen again. Let's see what happens on that front from here. Naturally next month's report should be down given the impact from the shutdown, no longer just an anticipation but a fact by then. But who knows, next report could give a surprise from anticipation of a resolve of the impasse. If not, the negative impact could even spill over to christmas since it'll be too late to recover in time for christmas products to get produced for this year. In fact it's already probably too late. If the consumer strength gets short changed over sentiment reports too much, which happens frequently, could wind up seeing shortages of christmas products
