Just looked the ad up and you are right about the price but wrong about the quantity. Only 25 per store and one per customer. It's a fluke deal like those car ads where you can buy one at a ridiculous price but go there and they never have one. BTW Nice 1st post.
I think those are month old stats. It will be way higher now. There's a web site called shortanalytics that gives a daily count and would be 38% for 11/28, 41% - 11/26, and 45% - 11/25.
Breakouts usually occur after a big volume day but this has a breakout chart (P & F dbl top). Look for the gap up and hope for the back fill so we can continue.
Not a thing - trades from here (32.80) to 44 until the real breakout. Just like clockwork. Loaded up a few minutes ago.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
What you say about them not moving in sync is an accurate observation and reason I tried to buy today. But I never got any of my 3 orders filled. This is so frustrating to buy even at ask. I don't know what those MM's are doing but is sure isn't what they are supposed to. I expect a good surge on Monday.
You don't see any analyst downgrades do you? I feel for those that got shook out today on their stops. The new low today should stand for quite a while. IMO
Even if they are allowed to produce sapphire they won't have the capital to fund it so back to square one. Long term spec at best.
I can't believe there's not more discussion on this. The way I look at it is that GTAT is a corpse and they are harvesting orgains for transplant. The bread and butter is sapphire so who knows how the Apple ball bounced on that but I would assume they allowed GTAT some lattitude to produce in areas other than mobile devices. If Apple is allowing GT to sell ovens to cover repayment of loans, it's game over for the Mesa plant so they (aapl) did lip service to their commitment to Arizona. Whatever happens will probably be swept under the secret Apple table and GTAT mgmt lives on to dupe more investors. But as you say there's not much hope for re-emergence from Chapter 11.
How in the world do you know this isn't just another wall street witch hunt? It's almost like blaming the Highway department for a drunk driving the wrong way at this point until the whole story is told. Especially when you have a competitor who stands to gain everything on the deal. Sounds to me like you sold and went short.
Is a baseless claim from a Bloomberg article from a professional whistleblower. Total BS. Second re-trial will most likely end like the first for the Virginia compay trying to revive his biz.
Even more than it has at 5% per day? If you ask me the bad news is baked in. On another note, does anyone think the gap between Friday's 34.91 and 36 will be filled on Monday?
There will be disclosure in the BK proceedings even if the NDA's are allowed to remain intact (that tells us it was a an Apple bob). One thing in the favor of disclosure is that the proceedings occur in NH where Apple is not so much in the judge's hip pocket (yet) and the IP is as yet undefined by "agreements" or "products". One of the many questions I would like to know is how much R & D Apple preformed on sapphire screens before striking a deal with GTAT (drop tests etc) and if the research was done on cut boules or thinly layered sapphire. With as much analyst coverage and WS dismay, I think it gets to be made an example.
Although I'm not in dispute with what you said, it is a given. They had start up and ramp up costs associatied with production. What is at issue is the NDA details about the product. Quality, use in the iP6, purchase/non-purchase of the sapphire. Since you are so quick to point out other false statements, you might want to clarify the details you are disagreeing with.
Smart money always flows in around the low 80's (Buffet for one). It's one of the freebie market givens. GLTL
