How about developing a show featuring the Eating Machines of the Deep....Great Whites. Universally despised...Nobody and I mean Nobody cares about their welfare. And I don't hear anyone complaining about the Shark Encounter Exhibit now. In the show I envision, it would be a recreation of Jaws, where ground beef in sculpted into a human-sized Quinn. The finale of the show would feature The Great White chowing down on poor Quinn, just like the movie. It would be sensation....get Spielberg on the phone pronto.....
They have to shift their emphasis to Dolphins. Dolphins are not "coddled" by the Greenies like the KILLER Whales. Reason is pretty simple, they are not endangered and relatively common in the ocean. Fisherman kill THOUSANDS of them annually with their nets, so you have a couple of hundred at your parks, that ain't no big thing. And maintenance costs are WAAAAYYYY lower. So Sea World Management, your job is to build a Dolphin enclosure the likes of which the world has never seen.
They sell small animals for little children and lackadaisical adults TO KILL. It's the biggest purveyor of unnecessary and cruel animal sufferings and deaths in the United States. How's that Petco LBO coming for the schmucks that bought that turkey. Haven't come public yet, and what has it been?...15 years since they went private, long time for these financial boys to sit on their hands.
We will never again get to see an Orca show with trainers interacting with the Orcas in the water. When trainers left the water, the show really went minor league.....everyone has complained about how much was lost.. I am completely against the expansion of the Orca compound now. Without trainers in the show, it's throwing money away. Sell the existing Orca inventory to the highest bidders and ship them off. Either to overseas parks or the sushi factory.
I remember Gateway during the tech bubble of the late 90's, Ted Waitt (founder and largest shareholder) knew in 1999 that there was a horrific tech bubble brewing. He wanted to sell shares in a big way, but as an insider he really wasn't able to. Solution....resign from Gateway completely....sever every single tie, no seat on the board....nada. After that, he was free to trade as he pleased, he sold tens of millions of shares over the coming months, cashing out Billions to the Looney Toon tech maniacs. I saw the stock pressure at the time. CNBC would report....relative to Dell and HP, Gateway was constantly trading at a comparative discount. That was Old Ted cashing out his chips. Way to go, Ted. Fast forward to Ballmer. He looks over at Paul Allen who has spent decades enjoying his Microsoft wealth, selling Microsoft shares and SPENDING IT. The Seattle SeaHawks, a terrific investment that he really has enjoyed. Ballmer has the Clippers now and has alot more plans. Now how do I untie my hands to sell more Microsoft shares and make my dreams happen? Resign from that board and sever all ties with Microsoft....he doesn't have to "report" a thing to anybody. Steve is free to SELL SELL SELL and that does not bode well if you're holding the shares.
Schiller's models have been wrong for YEARS....one analyst says his persistence in compiling models and trotting them around media circles shows some kind of agenda.....
You may not believe this, but Schwab just won't let you make trades they don't approve of. I try doing something and get endless critical messages from Schwab. I just want to scream " F off, you bloody message server" For example, I wanted to buy options instead of a stock position, they said sorry pal you're not experienced enough to buy and sell options, so go back to your kindergarden class and take a little nappy. Well Chuck, I don't like your attitude.
There are animals involved in every area of the park, except for the Cirque Du Sole Vegas-style show and those dancing humans dressed like Madagascar characters in that kiddie show. As soon as they would get rid of the Orcas, you would want all animals removed from the park, but Sea World doesn't have an inventory of characters like Disney to fall back on. Without the animals, you would have to close the parks and rebrand them, that would take a bankruptcy reorganization combined with a huge bet by remaining shareholders that they could pull-it-off.
Buy-out groups are terrified of the Sea World syndrome. After all, the fish, reptiles, birds and small mammals sold at Petsmart are poorly treated. Sick animals are universally put-to-death rather than treated because the cost level of the animal is low, it's more economical to kill it. And everyone knows this, and PETA does nothing.....until they DECIDE to do something and then Petsmart is TOAST......
Wouldn't it be remarkable to see how they would handle their "game" dinner in a bigger environment, like the bigger facility Sea World plans to construct? They could work together to kill the game and then share the chow. They would be SO HAPPY, they enjoy hunting SO MUCH....it's what the wild Orcas proverbially "live for". Have you seen the videos where they darn near beach themselves to snag a penguin standing in the shallows at the shoreline. That would be something to behold....
I have to agree with you, testicles are being squeezed, you can see the ball-shaped trading pattern in today's chart.
The Blackfish seemed really giddy about it....the opportunity to kill live game when all they get is Soylent Fish that the trainers pull out of an ice bucket. That's the answer Sea World morons....these are killers, let's see them in action....throw some penguins in there, how about a seal for them to run-down. No tricks, let them do what-they-do and have little Johnny and little Maddie cover their innocent little eyes. These whales aren't the Disney characters they would like you to believe they are.....
Insults are a compliment.....bigger the success, bigger the target. And Robin Williams was huge, the inventory of his films, his comedic genius. I remember his performance as Popeye, it was something to see. His performance in One Hour Photo was gripping. But there are other projects where I found him completely annoying....Mork and Mindy? You know there is a reason you have never seen those episodes in reruns...what about What Dreams May Come, now there's two hours I'll never see again. And I should have the freedom to say that.
That's true, the Ukrainians used to have 5,000 nuclear warheads, but they got rid of 99% of them. There's only 50 left, so it wouldn't be a MASSIVE nuclear war. The market would probably rally on the news, nothing stops this market.
Schwab literally laughed at me and told me I was a Space Cadet for even thinking there would be a borrow available on Zillow shares.
Some unkind/profane remarks from Twidiots offended the Williams family resulting in CENSORSHIP. Twidiots are EVERYWHERE.
The old days were barbaric....the harpooning method took many hours, it was a regular torture killing for the poor whales. Modern day Alaskan Indian Tribes, still use harpoons, but with explosive heads. Once that harpoon is in, the explosion kills the whale immediately (at least if they do it right). Otherwise they have to put another harpoon in and detonate again. The Alaskan Tribes have Federal Permits enabling them to harvest a thousand whales per year.
Have you tried Ebay? Wild Dolphins are being killed EVERY DAY in the fishing industry. They sling the dead Dolphins overboard like trash to cover their tracks. Even though the Dolphin could be eaten for food, but its not worth the hassle for the fisherman.
