GoPro stock may have doubled in its first four sessions of trading, but Dougherty & Co. senior analyst Charlie Anderson told "Fast Money" it's a long shot the momentum will last.
The video camera maker is trading on straight euphoria instead of fundamentals, Anderson said Tuesday on CNBC's "Fast Money."
"It's currently trading at higher multiples than Apple has in the last 20 years. So, it's up there in the stratosphere," he said.
"It's a valuation that frankly I'm not sure we've seen for consumer electronics in a very long time. The ceiling to me would maybe be Garmin in 2007."
Anderson, the first analyst to initiate coverage of GoPro, has a $28 price target and a "buy"' rating.
Couric is gabbing it up with him. Norman Lear had one reason to do All in the Family....correction 700 million reasons....that's his net worth today.
So, on the Verizon website, it's a 3 week wait for an IPhone. My nearest Apple store has zero in stock. But I walk into Target and the guy has all three colors, any IPhone6 I want. How can that be?
Could've been a sales technique. Perhaps, after he writes my order, he'll say he misunderstood me and say he thought I meant "demo" phones to hold and try-out. After all, he's commission sales and has to-do, what he has to-do.
And the sales illustrate how people feel. THEY LIKE IT!
Big Bang is down to it's final seasons. The Millers had to bring in Sean Hayes to perform CPR on that awful show. The only thing noteworthy about CBS is their football coverage.....it's all they're good-for.
I paid $199 on the Verizon website and I know the Apple store is also at $199. Why is Apple allowing the undercutting Walmart to screw with their margins. DISCONTINUE ANY ALL RELATIONSHIP WITH WALMART, or face a price gouging war that will chew away your margins.
OR I can walk into an Apple store and get one immediately. What kind of a company is this?
Think about it.....4 healthcare workers, 2 Midwestern volunteer doctors in Africa fully-suited-up, 2 at a large Dallas Metropolitan American hospital INFECTED. It gave the impression that a simple sneeze was going to spread the infection, well apparently nothing could be further from the truth. I am not sure how lackadaisical things are in Texas, but when I have my blood drawn, those gloves are ON. When I had a mole removed, that nurse practitioner was gloved, gagged and disinfected. If you sold your Southwest shares, you probably have never been to Texas and realized that there are some real #$%$, hillbilly types down there. This is an area where restaurants are routinely given an F grade because the owners think that a few "varmints" in the kitchen is OK. Thanks Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, you are now the Ebola Hospital and you DESERVE that nickname. I wonder how many surgical patients of theirs have developed a hospital-acquired infection, 50%?
This is my conspiracy theory. The Yankee doctors in Africa purposely infected themselves with Ebola. There they are, witnessing the deaths of hundreds because the world just doesn't care about Africans getting sick and dying of this disease. Solution, carry the problem to the masses by infecting yourself. Martyr yourself for the dead and dying. It would be a noble and dangerous gesture. Maybe you think I'm nuts, but admit that the possibility does exist....and your losses on those calls is just collateral damage.
Apple apparently has some kind of severe psychological problem. They make Verizon customers wait 3 weeks, while Joe Blow walks into Walmart and scores an IPhone THAT DAY for $20.00 less than anywhere else.
$12,000 in electronic parts and the UPS driver was too lazy to get his hand truck. So "bowls" the package end-over-end to his truck. These UPS jobs are fabulous. Fabulous money and benefits, our driver can take a one hour nap and still have plenty of time to leisurely do his job. I can't believe it.
Nobody including God cares if you're Gay, but the homophobic Bible Thumpers do. 10% of Apple users can be described as part of the Uber-Right Christian segment. If you would've stayed in the closet, we'd be a buck higher right now.
One thing entirely overlooked by the bumbling clowns of today's media has been the Transient Nurse phenomenon. These are nurses (and to a much smaller extent Doctors) contracted to be a Mobile Healthcare workforce. They advertise and promote a Hobo workforce that could spread anything and everything pretty darn quickly. These nurses constantly travel from one facility to the other spreading disease like the rats aboard a plague ship. They are also housed together in corporate flats while on the road, similar to airline stewards. Nurses and Doctors are the people responsible for this crisis and these Traveling Nurse outfits continue to make placements. Can these employees follow the protocols? Can they keep themselves from getting infected? There isn't even one story about this in ANY media outlet that I could find. Crazy, it's like Watergate all over again. Media in a COMA.
You might think the problem with transient nurses would be poor training, but that's the least of it. When your regular nurses drop their shifts from fear of contagion, Hospitals will call in "reinforcements" from temporary agencies or even these national chains that send nurses all over the country. And we can all see the problem with that, one day these vagabonds are treating a highly contagious patient, the next they're on a jet to another hospital in another city, sharing a corporate condo with other nurses from different locals as well. They finish their job and are scattered to the wind, carrying disease and pestilence with them. HCA HAS NO CONTROL OVER THESE CONTRACTORS. I would encourage HCA to stop doing this, terminate their contracts with these traveling nurse outfits....or they could be irresponsible and wait for the government order requiring them to stop this dangerous business practice.
And I felt so sorry for the sales reps at HPQ. Dell took his company private which means Dell's sales reps have open season to really juice up the "incentives". Every purchasing manager loves free stuff....whether it's a gift certificate, football tickets or straight payoff and that's the power of a private company.....having the power to do-that.
I asked the Head of our IT why he overpaid so badly to utilize Dell, he shot me a look like a Pit Bull who is about to have his food bowl pulled away. Don't go there.
This is a long-term move for Saudi Arabia. They need to stamp-out alternative energy, they need to kill fuel-cell technology, they need for Tesla and it's lithium-ion wonder car to die. And the only way to do that is a price war, where they come out on top with oil prices low enough to drive any alternative into bankruptcy. And we will stand there and let it happen. TAX OIL President Obama. Tax it hard.
They're just cameras, not much different from the others. I realized I would most likely put a GoPro camera right next to my Nikon and then go back to my couch and watch Netflix, so I left Best Buy and will let the suckers buy their cameras.
