The equity side has to do with the forced reduction in valuation (write down) I believe back in early 2013... Plus, the recent acquisition is not included in the Yahoo figures you are looking at... the acquired valuable land in the most recent acquisition from Shell.... What you are looking at is not an accurate snapshot..
How do you come up with that number? Market value vs stated book value..
What is the current market value of JCP's property? As you may not know, the value of the buildings is depreciated every year on the books while the land value does not appreciate on the books..
