    Advances in science : A+

    Shareholder value since approval: F

    - Down 27% this year!
    - Down 53% since beginning of last year!
    - Down 68% since peak price since approval (June 27, 2014)
While CEO and other insides have pocketed nice amounts of cash from exercising their options -- CEO cashed in over a $1M while shareholders lost 27% this year.

EMA and Swissmedic approvals: F (also: Eisai having problems with Health Canada! Brazil and Mexico seem to be black boxes. Bel reportedly illegally produced in China).

    IR/PR/CORPCOMM: F

Errors/shortcomings in investor/public relations and communications. Institutional interest still under fifty percent two and a half years since US approval of a best-of-breed product with market potential of an underserved pandemic!

    OVERALL GRAD: "D"
    (A+F+F+F)/4 = 1 (D)

SI is around 40M shares. There are signs that Arena's enemies have been hampering Bel's sales in order to hurt Arena, via negative promotion and other means. Does leadership's past actions and inactions have anything to do with the level of enmity? Does leadership have a role in effectively marketing the company to institutional investors beyond relying on actual sales, and winning their trust? IMO, the answers are clearly yes.

Can this leadership take the company to the next level rescue shareholder value? In the opinion me and several others based on everything I've witnessed and know, the answer is NO. This is not "Jack Bashing". If anyone wants to know what Jack Bashing is like they should take a visit to Y! where all kinds of nasty things are written about him regularly, some of it crosses the line and is inappropriate, and some are just expressions of opinions. I don't believe any of the people who are posting those things are shorts or enemies of Arena, and to the contrary, I believe shorts love this leadership. Look at its track record in managing shareholder value, since approval!

On the other hand, a new top notch CEO could do wonders for this company.
