The Velocity of Money. Interestingly, Food Stamps, AFDC, Medicaid, Medicare
and Social Security have kept the velocity of money circulating to local neighborhood businesses. Imagine being without it? Where would local business be without it? Farmers, landlords, health care providers, grocers, gas stations, thrift stores (now that is a growing business segment - and not controlled by Wall Street) etc. One of our local thrift stores is so well run that it made
$500,000 for the past several years. The board even decided to buy the
store property. The profits support a local church related school - K-12.
Per a top oil company scientist, shale oil has a very high percentage of wax in it, which oil needs heated pipelines to transport it. I don't believe Keystone is planned to be heated. The added cost would be astronomical. I've heard that the number of employees, after it was built, would be 36. Rail transportation is perfectly satisfactory and provides good
She is the second Republican congresswoman I've heard about who receives government subsidies for farming. I don't remember who the other one is but she receives over $700,000 per year. This is really something which needs to be followed. Is there a site?
