    Agriculture + a Dividend

Nothing you have said is accurate except that it provides sector diversification. But what is its correlation to these other classes? The dividend is pathetic. Capital appreciation prospects are minimal.

For those who read my previous post, I wish to update you that today after receiving a CT Scan and a PET/CT and meeting with my NIH doctors, I found out I am cancer free, thanks to Ibrutinib.

    My experience with ibrutinib

I am receiving Rituxan as part of EPOCH-R. EPOCH-R is going through its own trial against R-CHOP for treatment of Lymphomas, and especially DLBCL like i have. There was never a consideration to treat me without Chemo and just use Ibrutinib because of serious nature of my condition (the tumor in my abdomen was growing at nearly 3 times the normal rate and I was days away from Liver or kidney failure) and they didn't have the data to back it up.

Likewise, they didn't want to put me in the ongoing DLBCL trial of R-CHOP with Ibrutinib because it would have only given me a 50/50 chance of receiving the drug. They do not believe R-CHOP is nearly as effective against the ABC subtype as EPOCH-R. I am under 40 with young children and I don't think they felt it would be ethical to treat me as part of the trial (most ABC subtype patients are older, which contributes to the poor 5-year survival rate, no doubt).

It is possible that I would have had a good response with only the EPOCH-R, but as I stated, the doctors were shocked at how fast the tumors had reduced in size in less than 3 weeks. My primary clinician showed me the presentation that they had already prepared for upcoming conferences with the before and after PET/CTs side by side. The difference was stark.

  • Read the short blurb from JMP Securities and have to concur with their assessment. Though this board is mostly filled with pumpers, bashers and frauds, I still feel it necessary to share an experience with the actual drug from which this company is dependent upon.

I was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma in February and am being treated at the Nat'l Institutes of Health in Bethesda. I have the Activated B-Cell (ABC) subtype which has a 5-year survival rate of around 20%. Because of this, they put me on EPOCH-R with Ibrutinib, only the 3rd person to receive this form of treatment.

After one round of treatment, the PET/CT Scan showed that I had with the docs call a "total response," which astounded them. The largest tumor in my abdomen the size of large Cantaloupe that had shrunk to smaller than a peach. Another that was the size of a baseball became smaller than a grape. All other tumors (over 20) disappeared completely.

I am almost done with all cycles and am expected to be cancer free within a month. What I can tell you from my discussion with the doctors (the lead doctor being the most renowned Lymphoma specialist in the world, Dr. Windem Wilson), is that when it comes to hard to treat Lymphomas, Ibrutinib is second to none. I asked about the AbbVie and Gilead drugs, and they aren't nearly as optimistic.

The data on treatments like mine isn't out there. I guarantee you that no analysts from Bernstein or MS or anywhere else have a clue. I am living it and talking to the Docs who use these drugs every day. I can't give you a bottom line estimate of future revenues, profits or stock price, but what I can tell you is when data on these other trials comes out, I can't imagine it will be anything other than positive. Take that for what it is worth. Disclosure: I recently bought Jan 15 100 calls.

Wait until it gets early approval for DLBCL - huge population, tons of potential product revenue.
