Here is why you are still a low information child...
A. Show me the data where it cost 80K to make a volt...R&D cost are sunk and constant...with ever car sold you gain on those sunk cost not to mention that R&D will serve them in future models lie the caddy ELR and more. It doesn't cost 80K. The fixed cost to actually make one is below the sale price and dropping. GM is aggressively ringing out cost
B. That assembly line is a flex line, they make the cruze there too Einstein
C. The cost of batteries have been falling at a huge rate. Not long ago they were 1000 dollar per kwh, in 5 to 8 years less than 200 per KWH...which really makes you uniformed
D. Do you consider the Prius a success? Cuz if you plot Prius sales in their first 2 years with the volt sales in their first 2 years, you would see the volt well ahead of the Prius
I don't mind negative opinions when they are based on truth, you simply lie. Or let me be more generous and just call you misinormed
Bunky, I am way to busy to be your personal research assistant. I will however share any predictions from next week. When a group makes a prediction on anything, of course they make assumptions based on the data in front of them. I'm not sure what the Chinese growth was predicted to be in 1999...the world changes, but one can look at history and look at trajectories and make logical inferences. It's the future that hasn't been written yet so of course it's prone to change. Right now, one just needs to look at a middle class of 300 million (almost the size of our entire country) in China and predict, we are going to sell more cars.
