$10M in free cash is a real problem for me and should be for any future investor. It's a number that continues to fall quarter after quarter. Sometime and soon Roundy's will have to sell assets. They are simply running out of options. The dividend has been eliminated. A secondary offering at $7 has already been done. Top line growth from Mariano's has stalled at best with the more likely scenario being is it has fallen off. Kroger is not going to be the knight in shining armour some may think. If they were interested at all it would be as a scavenger at a fire sale. So the next course of action would be to sell assets. I'm thinking the Pick and Saves are high on that list. Tom

Be careful of the posts from the Mariano's puppets i.e. Mariano's store management. These are the same posters who just a month ago were telling everyone to buy at the $4.79/ $4.89 levels. I presume they are most likely long from the low to mid $3's, yet insider buying at the senior level of management is not participating. The puppetmaster I'm sure is being entertained. Tom

Roundy's is trading on very light volume and that's for a reason. Lack of interest. I would sell into any strength or dead cat bounce. The stock when it moves higher only sees a reversal in the price action typically with volume of over 300% above normal. There is a reason the market sees Roundy's (RNDY) valued in the $3's. Debt and lack of top line growth and that is not going to change any time soon if anything the stock will more than likely drift lower. Tom

djl: I agree the secondary was pretty slick getting investors suckered into paying up ($7) for a $4 dollar equity and their (RNDY) financial stability is shakier today with only $10M cash on hand. Tom

Health grocers with a good balance sheet, plenty of free cash along with a dividend will hold up much better in a tough market. RNDY has none of the aforementioned. Today's price action: RNDY -5.31% KR -0.66% WFM -0.85%.......WMT -0.81% Tom

    Sentiment: Sell
