I own some ... They took a short attack this spring. Buffet got in about the same time I did spring 2013. Storm seems to have settled down. Solid value not a BUYBUYBUY (i.e.GILD) in my opinion but definitely a buy.
DD recommended so you understand the risks I like the business a lot as an energy infrastructure play.
Your comment is criminally stupid. Buybacks, dividends, cash flow, moat, growth, cash hoard. NUF SAID.
Some of you folks are blind longs. dom has simply cashed in his long winnings for what ever reason after a recent burst up and you get bent out of shape. It's called a market. While we're all buying, somebody has to be selling ... YES/NO?
Congrats dominiku168 ... some people have never had the pleasure of being long GILD.
I don't know if you are an idiot or a liar but ... This is an absolutely erroneous statement.
PPS has definitely not kept up with earnings growth ... resulting in multiple contraction ... resulting in improved risk/reward profile for the LONG position.
I've been planting seeds. Here are my 2014 additions along with dividend inclusive performance:
5/9/2014 120 $28.48 15.8%
3/3/2014 100 $32.56 2.3%
2/7/2014 100 $31.28 6.5%
1/24/2014 60 $30.05 12.8%
A nice pop is due IMO ... and obviously I could be wrong. Patiently waiting ...
As an FYI - Yahoo gets the ttm earnings and P/E jacked up all the time. Best to use a better source or add up the previous 4 quarters #s from the analyst estimates page.
ttm earnings = 4.95 ... today closing price 107.41
ttm P/E = 21.7
Hope you did not sell based on BAD basic math skills.

w_rookwood keep selling, and selling, and selling OH MY
I actually sold as part of a "modified" plan. I had some cash in waiting for an opportunity but instead bought some MORE shares of GILD on Aug 8 @ 91.85 with plan to sell the following week on the pre options expire trap game, thinking the MM would take PPS to 93-94 and then back down to 92.50.I don't usually do a trade such as this was, but I figured I would just try it and get my cash back out quick and ready to sop up some blood should any appear. Well I diverted from that plan and held those shares until today ... made 15.8%. I had to sell which I promised myself I would do on the week of the 15th. I would still be too much overweight by my standards. Now I'm back to FULLY overweight. So I guess you bought my shares LOL.
Understand, my investing is all within my 401K and I simply MUST maintain some diversity.
So NO I did not buy the dip today, but am still good and long for a long time.
Know your sources people ...

Unexpected competition huh ... tell us what you know. This is how you convince others. So, what ya got?
You with your Fibonacci flip flops dare to call someone out for pointing out a high RSI condition? LMAO
I'll say this, trading the other way right now is a kin to catching a falling knife, except for the direction.
