Well....they don't put much iron in airplanes......but they do put quite a bit of titanium.
I was just looking up tan's holdings and noticed that. I've been doing this a long time too and have never seen anything like this.
I believe that a bottom has been set in SAN around 6.70 and that I am long because of that. You are a wise gentleman and I find value in your posts.
and one more thing.....when I hear several analysts congratulate them on the quarter, it gives me more confidence because they know a lot more about the industry and company dynamics than I do.
with me, anyway. NVGS was trading above 22 for much of the past year with it's hi being around 32. A "miss" of a few cents in a not-too-widely followed company like this doesn't necessarily bother me as long as the trend remains intact. At any rate.....earnings were good enough to NOT justify the discount this thing is trading at relative to it's performance over the past yr or so.
I think that a bottom has been set and I'm sitting tight on my long position. For disclosure....I had been following this co for quite a while.....got long several months ago (prematurely) in low 20's.....took the loss.....then got back long around 17 and change. Basically, I'm long until this thing makes me enough money that I'm happy....OR.....it falls below it's recently formed bottom.
I thought it went well. Paid most attention to questions from analysts.....3rd caller remarked how well 4th quarter went. All in all good call I thought. Will have to see where concensus numbers go. Sell off early was a gift.
I think it's allright. Beat of Revs.....as long as no surprises with guidance, we should see 20 soon.
Does anyone know how this will affect current dividend? The fed statement says they have to bring their capital up to standards before they make capital distributions to shareholders. But....from what I read, they failed the same test last yr and that didn't seem to affect distributions.....what's the deal?
I agree with that. AT this stock price, all they have to do is come close to hitting #'s and don't blow up guidance. Chart set up still looks great, really. Would be nice to have seen it keep running, but with overall market, oil selling off and earnings on deck, that just wasn't gonna happen. Keep faith in Wilbur and co.
met with management this week and came away reiterating that company is well positioned and business looks bright. They have a 32 price target on stock. I sure do like this chart.....I added today.
