Why did they pull their popular hovercraft commercials? It's been awhile but people could relate that to Orbitz. Good example is, what do you think will happen to Progressive if they pulled Flo or if Geico fired the gecco?

If Monrovia employees' performance is terrible overall as you say, then it is obvious there are folks not performing their duties well enough to deserve the salary they are already receiving. Divisions like Miltec, La Barge, and others probably have their low performers. Bonuses should be viewed as an "unexpected thank you" and not something that employees feel they deserve year after year for performing their assigned work! Exception are employees who went beyond their line of duty, for example created new business or a contract for the company, then the employee or employees who actually achieved it should be rewarded the bonus, but not everyone in the whole dam division year after year. Also, other compensation and possible elimination of excess management should be considered. Let's get the financials looking better again.

  • Anyone? In my opinion, if employees or managers are not happy with their salary, then they should not have been hired to begin with in my opinion. I would bet dollars to donuts that Yahoo is overstaffed and already oversalaried whether they give themselves bonuses or not. It just affects how hard of a rear-end screwing the shareholders get!!!!

  • Your annual performance is still an embarrassment comparing to what I paid for this stock years ago. You are a sympathy play for Google and need something that will stand out and make money.

GPGRENGO, I wouldn't buy this stock at $25. Might be better to sell, lick my wounds, and move on.

  • Im not sure if they still are doing this, but if any of Ducommun's sister companies gave bonuses, it's poor management and theft from the shareholders in my opinion!

Focus on company debt and recent healthcare insurance costs and fines before throwing money around these days. I'm not saying bonuses should not be given, but not in these times by any publicly traded company.

Companies should be using that money to invest in new technologies and resources for future growth and not add padding to employees' bank accounts.

    Sentiment: Hold

Its not going to be pretty. Most companies are feeling the brunt of healtcare insurance compliance, costs, fees, and whatever this year. Well-run companies like this one should weather through it but the rid eis going to be bumpy.

  • Cut levels of management and reduce political contributions to those who will likely vote against energy production. Cut back on the number of blended gasolines.

  • I don't see growth in defense industry for a long time. We can not take for granted that a republican or a conservative democrat will be in the the White House in 2016. (please not Hillary) This company has done a good job lowering overhead costs, especially cutting excessive management at many business units, but more to be done to stay competitive. So which defense stock has the best potential to grow if defense spending comes back to normal in a few years? Anyone?
