    Many Irons In The Fire!

"in the long run patient investors will be rewarded". sgby, even you have to be smiling at that whopper.
I lookd at the PR and then looked and the financials, and the truth is they aren't that good, not exactly the breakthrough all are awaiting, but at least they weren't much worse than the last except they went from
100 to 95 million in cash. That said, it was the best cc in memory. Not once did anyone say "I am pleased".
Looks like Shah is on top of this for sure. And, the business plans they are talking about are a lot lot more responsible and mature than before. If Shah et alia are not again setting this up to take private on the cheap, I would be positive here too.... on the basis that what is left after cleaning up the bad management and BoD anitcs of the past is the techonology, that makes the decision to invest a lot easier to make but only after the technology proves out to be disruptive or at least way ahead of the competition. Should know
by the end of the year if the contracts are on the way in, so I won't go long yet, then of course there
is the history to overcome for investors and customers alike. PAS was a long time ago. Just my humble opinion.

    Trading below cash!

This company has been trading below cash as the cash fell from $300 million to $100 million over the last few years. If anything, it is a huge red flag..

Potential for NYSE up-list w/ no reverse split?

Our investment strategies are different only to the extent I grew out of yours some years ago. "Is there stock where you are guaranteed to know exactly what will happen in the future?" When you come up with nonsense like that, you are just spinning. Nothing more. Are you a college student? It is a matter of, as a wise person has said.......serious investing in the stock market is just like gambling, but with the odds in your favor. PLease, no more juvenile observations. I will give this to you for free: In highly speculative tech stocks like this one (vast majority fail by the way) wait till the dilution/wash out threat has played out for a while, in the end it is way cheaper. Then use the volatility to create a zero cost basis (like sell half your shares when the price doubles), You will be much happier. And oh, by the way, post less, think more.
Have a nice evening. I am done with this thread.

You are talking about what may or may not ever happen in the future, all bio start ups have the same
story, but in this field revenue is years away. Fundamentals don't refer to pie in the sky, they refer to
a sustainable operating business with a strong balance sheet and revenue. The price may be volatile before that happens, but the reverse splits will wash out the longs, again and again. Trade away, but hold long at your peril. By the way, what is the target price in your risk/reward calculation? Have a nice day.

" not concerned with the repercussions of a r/s and believe that since it is happening from a position of strength, that it should not have a bad effect on the share price". There is absolutely no basis for that
statement, the fundamentals are terrible and will be for a long time. What strength are you talking about anyway? Its a startup at the very beginning of long long path of trials and more dilution. The effect of an R/S would be to briefly increase the shareprice which would then be shorted right back down again to pennies, leaving you with a tiny piece of your present sharecount. It is called being washed out. SOP
in this kind of situation. That is why it is better to wait until that struggle plays out and if the company survives, buy then. In my opinion you are way to early with your strategy, but good luck anyway. Post less, think more....

BCLI should reverse split their shares

    by bigjim1437 Jun 25, 2014 7:16 PM
flipocrat flipocrat Jun 26, 2014 10:54 AM Flag

A 10/1 reverse split would not make much sense, it needs to be 20/1 to move the shareprice into range for most institutional investors. Either way, it will be shorted back down to this level, there is too far to go for
the next stage and more dilution on the way. In fact this will probably happen several times and wash out the longs every time. I am waiting for the first round of reverse splits before getting in, so if they do one now to reduce the outstanding, okay by me.....but if I owned shares I would not want it to happen because I know I would be decimated......whereas insiders can just issue themselves new subscription rights.

New to board. I don't see any record of a reverse split, is that right? Given the outstanding shares and timeline for development stage II, R/S seems a high probability. I tend to wait for after that happens in start up biotecs, any comments? Thx.

Shah becomes the new Chair and the price falters. First thought for many should be wow, now things are really going to happen. I agree, the question is what will happen. Remember, Shah backed Lu's attempt to take the company private (grab it for bottom dollar in my opinion) but they backed down. It should not surprise if this comes up again, but what will it mean to general shareholders? People that know something about the history and the antics of this company in the past are probably re-calculating the risk reward
based upon a low take out price. General shareholders have never been the priority. Just my humble opinion. GLTAL.
