but that tax withheld for Canada can be taken as a Tax Credit on the US tax return so you have not lost anything... unless your tax bill is less than the tax paid on TGA stock... I don't think it is refundable...

As CRM is demonstrating... even on Billions and Billions of reveune it can not turn a GAAP profit... Turns out that Sales & Marketing expenses on Cloud apps is not that easy to control and reduce with scale... on the surface Cloud computing sounds great... but it is turning out to be no panacea... I just can not understand how CRM continues to command such a high P/S ratio given all their losses and future losses... Let's hope CKSW has a better story to tell... I guess the smart money will begin to hear if they are going to make their big numbers this quarter in the next couple of weeks... we shall see...

Would be great if they can announce that famous "bulk order"... Rene is going to have egg on the face if that fails to happen this year after he has been confidentially reaffirming it is going to happen even as late as the last Qtr report... well, here we are in the last throws of November... tick tok... next year will be here before you know it... so Euromold would be a great time / place to announce it... Let's see what happens...

  • I am long YHOO, but watching the action in the two stocks over the past couple of weeks, one could make the argument that BABA is getting ready to make a big purchase and with the support that YHOO is getting, maybe it is the target... hum...

    GE AM strategy

Perhaps all you say is true, I don't disagree that Acram is a great little company with good potential... but it is highly valued today, doesn't pay a dividend and will have to rely on very strong organic growth to reach it's potential all the time that the clock is ticking on their patents and the competition...

Without any returns to Share owners, this stock is a heavy load, time is money, at least it is for me... everything I do in the market is measured by ROI... I would prefer that a GE or some bigger player comes along and takes them out at a very nice premium... but that's just because I want a higher ROI than I would have if say the company reached that same premium in a couple of years...

GE announced this last week that it will build an Additive Manufacturing development center near Pittsburg implying it may "invent" a machine itself. Seems like perhaps they think they can do it cheaper themselves. If I were GE I would buy Arcam and use it as my base. This is how GE typically expands into new verticals. Trying to build a business from scratch seems contrary to their strategy. A big multi order from their Italy operation would sure be a nice affirmation of the importance that Arcam plays into their plans.

I guess we are down today because of some negative news from Egypt (car bombing)... I thought the CC was pretty encouraging... heck they are likely going to get nearly 1/3 of their Market Cap in Cash between now and end of the year... I guess the other big negative out there is a real possibility that Brent may fall much further... some say below 30 bucks... very disappointing to see this big sell off today on very heavy volumes... just sad.

  • Big miss tonight... VJET tomorrow but hopefully Acram won't fall in sympathy ... Acram and Xone are at opposite ends of the well run company continuum...

    From the ER they stated:

"The funds flow sensitivity to a $10/Bbl change in Brent for the balance of the year is approximately $3.5 million."

They generated USD$ 29 Mil in free cash flow after paying the dividend (USD 3.8 Mil) in 3rd Qtr... Even if Brent fell another USD$ 30BBL they would likely still have north of USD$ 15 Mil after paying the dividend... so very solid...

They did say they would cut back on CAPEX next year depending on the projected Brent price and focus instead on less CAPEX ways of increasing production e.g. working over existing wells...

Sorry... I didn't notice those PMs on the IV Board... I think they addressed the dilution in the CC... seems it has something to do with the weaker CDN dollar causing more shares to be tendered if the Bonds were ever converted, which if they are those extra shares will be of no consequence with the stock trading at 15 bucks :-)

So those bonds are never going to be converted so the extra shares will never be issued...

Those idiots at Softbank could have pounced on YHOO when it was at 38 and probably bot the whole company for 55 bucks.... What were they thinking... Now I fear it is getting too expensive for a buyout and earnings won't support the price... then again as long as BABA just keeps heading north so will YHOO

  • Don't see any news... down nearly a buck... thoughts?

  • Will still be turning in 15+ Mil per qtr in Funds Flow even with Brent at 60 bucks...

TGA is one of the stronger Oil plays...

"you and I are too smart for that."

Well, I am not feeling very smart when it comes to Acram... the smart money would have sold out in the mid 30's and maybe bot back in down here... 13-15 bucks on a 35 dollar stock is a lot of money to have left on the table...

As for the big seller, I imagine they would have preferred to sell at a higher price but realized that wasn't going to happen anytime soon so they got what they could... It was a Buyer led transaction... The Seller had little leverage...

Hope we find some support here at 20 bucks... that's low enough ... although as another poster pointed out it is still a 9 P/S... which is quite high.. TSLA is only about 11 or so...

    Hang in there...

Dead money until 4Q ER unless there is some M&A news.. This is either going to be a HUGE positive or negative Qtr for CKSW ... I obviously hope they can make their numbers... but I don't think Mr. Market is going to be putting any premium on the PPS before they deliver this time...

It's really tough to see Acram give back all of it's recent gains... in spite of the great ER and potentially another great 4Q, the stock is still richly valued... The other head wind for USD investors is the strong USD... at the exchange rate that was prevalent last year the price today would be USD 23 vs USD 20 at today's FX rate... another way to look at it is the recent high of 26 is equivalent to 30 at last years FX rate... We are also not immune to the success of the wider sector which has not be very rosy lately...

Still Acram should flourish as a company but the Stock may struggle... When you see a large investor willing to liquidate at a big discount to these already depressed levels (regardless of their motivations) that does not bode well for the stock and was very disappointing...

We should see a nice bounce if they announce the illusive "Bulk" order... but from what level is another question...

  • flying_trader flying_trader Nov 10, 2014 3:24 PM Flag

ER is out Wednesday... plan accordingly... if action today is any indication the ER may not be all that great.... hard to believe it could be so bad as to justify a 4 buck price but here we are...

    Good Luck...
