I just got my third call today (4/13) and was asked again to vote over the phone.
I asked them twice in two previous calls to send me the information. Once again as of now still waiting.
Perhaps, I'm one of the last small investors left amongst a sea of institutional owners.
Peabody has called me twice.
The first time asking me if I received any proxy materials through the mail and if not, asking me if I wanted to vote over the phone, the same way the board was voting. The second call I got, was again asking me if I got the materials through the mail and if I wanted to vote over the phone.
On both occasions, I said I would wait for the printed materials to be sent through the mail.
As of now, I'm still waiting.
Imagine the environmental crowd in California depending on pipelines and trucking that pollutes the air in order to supply water in order for its residents to keep going.
From what I understand, California is a year away from running out of water should their current and record drought continue. Without water, how would you operate? You can't. How much would a $million dollar home or a $100 million dollar factory be worth, without any water?
Would they change the pipelines from moving oil and gas in and out of the state into bringing water into the state? What would the markets do? In the end I hope it rains.
I wonder if we should all get together to vote a certain way to send a message.
Yes, I got the call on Tuesday afternoon, the 31.
She talked about a proxy vote. And, wanted to know, if I wanted to vote the same way as the Board.
was going to vote. Again, just wondering what's going on.
I believe she said it was a proxy vote and the vote will be in May. She asked me if I wanted to vote with Board.
I asked her to send me the material and I would vote then. What's this all about? Thank you.
Not only that; those same people are all against fracking.
Moreover, I believe fracking is banned in the state of New York and elsewhere.
Great post for our nervous Nellie's. Myself included.
I wonder what the other big guns on this board think?... Dstone, railnstocks, coalbull, fishfyry, joeschmo, Javed, etc.
Now think about this;
I remember back in the mid 1970's winters were warm and in some years it only snowed only once or twice, in the whole year.
It appears to me the global weather is cycling and not in a permanent climate change.
I don't know how old you are but, I live in Saugerties NY and this winter reminds me of the winters we had back in the late 1960's early 1970's. ... It seems to me what you guys call climate change is more like climate repeat.
