Anyone have any theories as to what's fueling the downdraft in Saratoga this past month? It seems to have been a steady drip drip drip drop. I do not see the catalyst for this unless it's concerns about the possible impact of higher interest rates on BDCs or possibly tax related year end selling??? Or maybe the Mrs. is unloading?
You mean to say you think the market does not comprehend the magnificence of our visionary leader's 4 Point Plan for TINY's future???? Today's price action represents a true once in a lifetime opportunity to hop on board Mr. Jamison's Magical Mystery Train at a spectacle discount to future value under this wonderful new plan.. I think Brian Auger had a name for this train, The Oblivion Express....
Right now Yahoo says market cap = 4.59bil. Barrette's telling us they will have 2.5bil in cash by the end of the first quarter assuming all deals close. What are they thinking? Over 50% market cap in cash by 1st quarter.... Do they have big plans, big fears, or are they looking to be taken over or have activist involvement? I can't help but believe they can't stay that cash rich for long.........
What's not to like? How about an history of declining NAV since its open.... Not bashing, as I'm long, but that's been a killer....so far in my experience, what's not to like is the declining NAV, the exposure to energy, which the market overemphasizes when oil declines, and the threat of rising interest rates, which the market overemphasizes when interest rates look like they're going higher.... Overall, BGH seems to be right in the sour spot according to Mr. Market and neither the excellent dividend nor the short duration has done anything to cushion the blows
Finally! Enough money for Jamison to pay the overhead and a few management bonuses.......
Whoah! Great sign of management putting its money where its mouth is as Jamison Form 4 shows a huge open market buy of 1045 shares..... Yup, $4400 committed all at one time on a single purchase. No wonder the amazing upward movement in TINY.
It amazes me that a company that seems incapable of producing much more than $1 mil per quarter in revenues from a Bandwidth Engine # 1 or 2 has the resources or faith to create a Bandwidth Engine 3. I suppose there's always hope, but I gave up about a year ago at $2.43...
How do the SECOND Lien debt holders end up running the show???? Does that mean first lien debt holders first get paid off in full?
Who sees with equal eye, as God of all,
A hero perish, or a sparrow fall,
Atoms or systems into ruin hurl'd,
And now a bubble burst, and now a world.
Hope humbly then; with trembling pinions soar;
Wait the great teacher Death; and God adore!
What future bliss, he gives not thee to know,
But gives that hope to be thy blessing now.
Hope springs eternal in the human breast:
Man never is, but always to be blest:
The soul, uneasy and confin'd from home,
Rests and expatiates in a life to come.
Twisty - I cant help but wonder, if you are a "newbie to this," what is "this" that you are new to? If it's investing is equities, how did you end up getting involved with such a crapshoot roll of the dice kind of equity like MILL? And how did you learn so quickly how to be involved in options and hedging sufficently to cover all your losses? I'm fascinated, not skeptical.....
