Today I learned more as the posts were more financial related. People expressing different thoughts in a real professional way. The information you provided confirms holding NOK. We have all been through this before. Thank all of you for drawing on that experience to express your ideas. More to come as "this too shall pass". Thank you again.
Good observation. It could be a little manipulation of weak investors. There is good news including the U.S. antitrust giving approval of MFST acquisition of Nokia. Other positive news of new commitments for new products and contracts coming down the "pipe". It still appears to be a strong investment compared to alternatives. Its resiliency has been tested before followed by strong up swing. Thank you for your observation, gives much to be considered.
Thanks for the kind "all due respect", I don't understand your question as I will exit any stock when I have a better alternative. Harley, I have read some of your posts, and usually good and I learn from them. This one is not quite up to the high standards I have come accustomed to from you. Have a Blessed Night.
Clients in those areas. i used to live in oxford. now live in sterling heights. up your way a lot. let me know when you are ready to share your knowledge. have a blessed day.
Thanks Mr. fr3nchmodel, I have much room for improvement. "Correct a fool and he will despise you, correct a wise man and he is for ever grateful." (hope I am in the later category. Smile). Heading for meetings in Lake Orion, hope to sit down and listen to your wisdom someday. Stay Blessed!
There have been some viable and knowledgeable comments about when to exit a stock. I have been surprised through the years due to changing circumstances in the market (not withstanding manipulation). I cannot predict the future of "what ifs" but one strategy has proved itself. Constantly researching and comparing "better alternatives" at any particular point keeps us flexible without preconceived assumptions. So until I find a "better" alternative stock in my portfolio I stay with what I own. That is the only "exit strategy" that has proven itself for me. I am always open to your comments and wisdom. Thank all of you who help us all be better investors. Have a Blessed Day.
Many people projected NOK going bankrupt, including various analysts who later jumped on the "bandwagon". All most of us knew at the time was we knew more about NOK than other stocks. It provided at the time (and still does) the best course of investment compared to the alternative stocks being recommended by the analysts. Today the same is true for me on ALU. It is the best Alternative. Enjoy our investment.
I may be the only one buying. So much else happening besides the "dilution". China prefers ALU to CSCO because of the US listening in (lack of trust and looking for alternatives); Restructuring that is now certain due to "dilution"; Patent rights (seems to be following NOK in this area); and profitability potential. Just my thoughts and actions today.
Smile, I wish you would have posted this before I started buying. Have a great day.
Except for the "dilution" there is so much promising news. China more receptive to ALU than CSCO; NOK with expansion mode; Patents; and restructuring it just seems the stock is really undervalued for me. So I am buying again, I will let you know if it worked out. I am certainly not smart by this board but it seems like the thing to do. Best wishes to all; those who agree and those who don't. Enjoy the day.
Thank you, I must have missed it, smile. Still holding, have a Blessed Day and again, thank you.
Thank you for sharing your insight. Is today the day they are exercising the rights?
I applaud your kindness and non-judgmental response to mae2k. She, as well as I, have benefited from your unselfish sharing of your wisdom. Thank you, I am sure we all will have a Blessed Day!
Great name. Takes me back to the days of number 12 on the Cowboys. Thanks for the memories.
