out bid the City of Santa Barbara for 3200 acre feet of water, that would be about 3200 football fields flooded with water one foot deep, paying $7,000,000.00 dollars. Drilling rigs are running 24-7, people who need wells are paying $10,000.00 up front just to get in the waiting line, some drilling rigs are being taken from ND oil fields and reassigned to CA to drill for water..

And wildfire season has yet to reach its zenith.

The H00ker will be stealing its veges from the neighbors garden, that's how righties do things.

Okay . . . how do you respond to recent national polls that revealed the following rather embarrassing facts?

Nearly one in four Americans believe that the Constitution establishes Christianity as the official religion of the United States
One of three Americans cannot name their constitutional rights under the First Amendment (Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, the right to petition the government, and freedom of assembly)
Four of ten Americans believe that the Constitution defines English as the official language of the United States
Six of ten Americans do not know that there are 100 members of the United States Senate (2 per state)
Sixty-five percent of Americans cannot name the three branches of the federal government
Ninety-one percent of Americans cannot name the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court

And on and on it goes.
It is then no surprise that a stupid president would be more highly regarded by stupid Americans than a president who is anything but stupid.
    Right?

“Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.” ~ George Carlin

Gallup just released the results of its poll of 1,017 American adults to determine presidential favorability ratings and guess what?
George W. Bush outpolled President Barack Obama . . . 53 percent to 47 percent.
W, the president who left the world economy teetering on the brink of disaster outpolled the man who saved it!
George W. Bush, who lied us into the costly, bloody war in Iraq in a completely stupid response to the 9/11 attacks is viewed more favorably than President Barack Obama, who got us out of Iraq and kept us out of Iraq!
Bush, the man who said he didn’t ‘think about catching Osama Bin Laden’, is more highly regarded than President Obama, who brought Osama Bin Laden to justice!
What does that say about how stupid " Americans can be?
    The answer is obvious.
    Are you surprised?
    If so, you shouldn’t be.
We are, after all, the people who elected and re-elected George W. Bush, a clearly incompetent, unqualified buffoon to the most powerful political office in the world . . . and we knew it when we did it . . . twice!"

If the h00ker is used as the example, the answer of course is very, very STUPID.

  • "The Church in Iraq is on the brink of disappearing into obscurity, according to the country's leading bishop, who says the migration of Christians has shot up."

"The Patriarch also rejected any suggestion of U.S. military intervention.
He said: "The Americans have been here and they made a lot of mistakes. The current situation is their fault. Why replace a regime [with] something even worse? This is what happened after 2003."

Since the Iraqi Christians have all but disappeared from Iraq, it appears the gw BuSh christian crusade is a complete bust.

Nothing to stop the Chinese from buying the corps that grow the CA nuts, like the Japanese that bought the US ranches that grow their beef... Americans should be buying pitch forks, axe handles and headed for DC.

The ReptileCons would of course label them, the protesters ecoterroist and communist.

None of this effects me much, but my grand kids, and their kids are so MUCKED.

  • forwardflash by forwardflash Jul 14, 2014 6:49 PM Flag

are mostly grown in California, it takes 1.1 gallon of water for each nut. Corporations are buying up beef
farms and other agriculture land to plant pistachio and almond trees. In the past a 240 foot well would supply adequate water today, some wells costing one million dollars go 2500 feet to get the water they need. It takes four to five years before a tree produces almonds, and another couple of years before it reaches its maximum production.. In the past when water was scarce vegetable fields would not be planted saving water. Trees on the other hand have to be watered or they die off and you lose four to six years of production. Eighty percent of the almonds grown are exported, mostly to China, eighty percent of water allocated in California goes to agriculture.

As wells go deeper and suck the aquifer lower the land above it sinks, it is sinking at a rate of about one foot per year, that means roads, foundations will crack, and buried pipelines will buckle. Who is going to pay for this?

More California land growing nuts means Americans will be paying a lot more for their beef and vegetables so corporations can make money from China who imports most of them from the US.

The enabler of the demise of the US.
"Reaganomics; refers to the economic policies promoted by U.S. President Ronald Reagan during the 1980s and still widely practiced. These policies are commonly associated with supply-side economics, referred to as trickle-down economics by political opponents and free market economics by political advocates."

If the US people don't start thinking in terms of what is good or bad for us collectively as a sovereign country, all will be lost.

You can't say conservative logic because that would be an oxymoron.

  • "With the release of today's jobs report for March 2014, we now have official data showing four full years of private-sector job growth under Obamacare. Since the President signed the law, a total of 8.8 million jobs have been created in the private sector, a dramatic turnaround from the loss of 3.6 million private-sector jobs in the decade before Obamacare. "

"A closer look at the monthly jobs numbers shows how America went from losing nearly 800,000 private-sector jobs a month at the end of the last Republican Administration to gaining jobs again within a year of President Obama signing the 2009 Recovery Act (the Stimulus). And since the President signed the 2010 Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), the economy has been creating an average of more than 180,000 private-sector jobs a month:"

  • "A poll of Obamancare enrollees published Thursday by the Commonwealth Fund found that 74 percent of newly insured Republicans are happy with the plans they bought. Overall, 77 percent of people who had insurance prior to the rollout of the Affordable Care Act said they are pleased with the new coverage they obtained in the last year."

The Iraqi free market capitalist utopia that was to be the example of US exceptionalism, and a bulwark against radical Muslims, is a complete and absolute failure, just like gw BuSh business ventures. And don't anyone give me the #$%$ about him making a good deal on the Texas Rangers, he was let in on that deal only because of who he was..

Remember on this board all the R. were bragging that the world will be better of now because the US elected its first ever P. with a MBA . What we got was two unnecessary wars, failed nation building, unprecedented tax cuts during war time, declining middle class, increasing numbers of poor, an infrastructure that is in dire need of repair, and a world wide financial crash.. And today the R. are insisting what we need is more of the same.

I have seen the enemy and it is the ReptileCon party.

"The American Commerce Group ceased operating here in 1999 but sought to return when the price of gold began its current escalation. After a Centre for Investigation of Investment and Commerce study found the local river to be 100,000 times more acidic than the area’s uncontaminated water, and cyanide levels to be ten times above safe levels, Commerce Group's environmental permit was revoked."

It isn't what you do as much is how it is done, meaning it doesn't look like mining companies are taking care of the rivers. What is more important gold or water? And all mining jobs are temp jobs by nature, meaning the ore body one day will be gone.

What we are seeing is the beginning of the problems over population is creating. There will be more malcontent and wars across the globe, it is the new reality.

  • "We're not investing in the future of America," Johnston tells Yahoo Finance in the video above. "Because we have less revenue, we are not putting the same money we used to put into research ... infrastructure ... [or] education. We are creating a more and more inefficient economy in the name of 'tax cuts will save us.'"

But they won't, says Johnston. "The empirical evidence that tax cuts produce jobs ... just doesn't exist."

Tax increases, on the other hand, are helping to produce jobs in California, where job growth is about 50% faster than the rest of the country, says Johnston. He favors more government investment in research, infrastructure and education and changing incentives so that money flows out of finance and into productive assets."

    Is killing the US.

The RNC claims P. Barrack Obama was behind Brazil's (1) lopsided World Soccer Cup lost to Germany (7). According to their inside sources, Barrack ordered the head of the CIA John O. Brennan to make sure that Brazil lost, to accomplish this prior to the game the CIA soaked the Brazilian teams uniforms with Melatonin, a powerful drug that makes you sleepy and lethargic.

Rumor is he was repaying a favor owed Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel a favor linked to Ukraine. According to the RNC Angela Merkel agreed to sleep with Vladamir Putin if he would withdraw combat troops from the Ukrainian border, in return the US would assure a Germany WSC win. It was determined that Hillary Clinton was the go between.

    R. Darrell Issa will be forming a bipartisan committee composed of 5 R. and 1 D. to look into this before the next elections.

Any pull backs in the price of Ng and Oil are buying ops. Despite US increased production the world supplies remain tight. Europe is paying 4 to 5 times more for Ng than we are.

SCOTUS may inadvertently given the left the pin that may burst their bubble.

"That separation is what legal and business scholars call the "corporate veil," and it's fundamental to the entire operation. Now, thanks to the Hobby Lobby case, it's in question. By letting Hobby Lobby's owners assert their personal religious rights over an entire corporation, the Supreme Court has poked a major hole in the veil. In other words, if a company is not truly separate from its owners, the owners could be made responsible for its debts and other burdens."

Another real_dumb_butt, the mortgages were falsely over rated, that is a truth and the only way that can be changed is to lie about it, and lies like the Bible says (I'm assuming the rightwing Bible hasn't been edited to support their lies), lies are the tool of the DEVIL, so I must be replying to the DEVIL.

OH LORDY, LORDY, SAVE ME, SAVE US ALL.

WOW, now there is a thought, just came to me this board is possessed, maybe Pope Francis should do and exorcist.

  • that lie to the American people does work.

How is it possible that the American people can forget who was in office when 9-11 happened, two unpaid for illegal wars, unprecedented tax cuts for the rich during war time, and the complete collapse of the world wide Capitalist system. According to the polls it is P. Obama fault, there is no hope for a country that is so Stupid.

Mention stupid and the H00ker comes to mind, it being the quintessential example of this.
