That must be why COCP has a lead compound for hepatitis C with pan-genotypic activity chosen and is currently undergoing IND enabling development. I have found it useful to research the company's website to better understand the potential of COCP as an investment. Looks promising to me as a long-term investor.

Good overview about one of the most important OPKO facts, bronxrealtyco. I like the fact that Frost walks the walk and follows his rationale of buying OPKO shares since he believes they are the best way to invest his money so it will achieve the best return on investment. I own more now than I ever thought possible thanks to the lower price during all of 2014 during the short attack. I now have a much better understanding of why Frost openly says he welcomes every short play on his company startups.

My post was a question, eastofeden73. I worked 2 decades in both retail and industrial pharmacy so I'm fully aware of drug development and regulatory filing practices of both big and spec-pharma. All I'm saying is that for me, as a long-term investor, project updates make for a better blog discussion than mere short-term trading speculation comments.

  • Last year the 2013 results were reported on 31MAR14. Will a timing of 30 or 31MAR15 be similar for the 2014 results? The recent increase in COCP valuation was nice but it would be useful to see some facts that support the rise that at this point is merely based on speculation. Being a long-term COCP investor, I look forward to learning more positive information through timely project updates. IMHO, COCP will remain to be a platform for short-term traders in the absence of facts that support company progress. Currently, time definitely seems to be on the side of long-term investors.

  • info released after today's market close followed by the CC at 8:30 a.m. before the market opens the following Monday. I like this methodical approach b/c it gives investors time to more fully evaluate the results.

I'm usually good with computers but apparently lack the FB social media skills required to start up a group. Keeps asking me for members and the field won't accept any of my entries. I'll post if I ever have any success. Again, no hurry, but shared communications between investors seem to be much easier once a FB group is available.

Agreed, cl124cl. I wonder if it might be useful to start a Facebook group for Cocrystal? I participate in 2 FB groups for a different biopharma and the dialogue there coupled with the ability to post direct links has been very helpful. I tried to start an OPKO FB group for OPKO investors but was unsuccessful. No urgency but I plan to be invested in COCP for many years and figure the breadth of ongoing projects will do nothing but increase over time just like they did with OPKO where I've held shares since 2007.

Nice post, sertdery. Thanks. The reduction in volume of disruptive posts lately seems to support a continued upward trend and surrender of naysayers. You simply can't short undervalued solid revenues.

I agree with all comments made by every OPKO poster that contributes useful investment information here. Is there any interest in starting a private Facebook group where a moderator can restrict members to only those people that are valid OPKO investors? I'm now only posting in a FB group for another one of my biopharma holdings where it's so much easier to post links and avoid irrelevant spam, like N% PO/G$#. The YMB for that holding now only has a few posters while the FB group has over 1,600 members. Just a thought to consider.

$14 range seems accurate since open on 17FEB so I agree with the "call" speculation. As usual, it is what it is with the market traders in the majority. Thanks for the insight, cl124cl.

Thanks, alridge95, for posting some useful COCP investment information. All we can do is wait it out like the other big time investors are also currently doing. You either believe in being patient or you try to trade and risk the chance of missing a big announcement. I'm no Frost but still I own some of his other company stocks I purchased almost a decade ago. Only 18 months so far in COCP. Thanks again.

And one more thing, bourbon_on_my_cornflakes, is that additional 2015 INO clinical results may also reinforce the value INO can add to potential partnerships. Peer-reviewed P2 3100 results also have the potential to further illustrate the applied clinical value in the INO platform. Only time will provide answers to current speculations. I'm confident INO will provide ample data given all the current trials recently initiated.

PSA Prostate testing by Dr. Andrew Weil

    fourms_2000 fourms_2000 Jan 19, 2015 7:36 PM Flag

Personally, icemandios, I would have much more confidence in a 4k test than the PSA test done last year during my annual physical..

FROM NewsmaxHealth: A Better Prostate Cancer Test Is Here, Monday, 31 Mar 2014 08:18 AM

It’s called the 4Kscore Test. Instead of testing for only one biomarker of prostate cancer as the PSA test does, the 4Kscore tests for four biomarkers and adds a man’s age, his digital rectal exam result, and whether or not he has had a prior prostate biopsy to come up with his score. The 4Kscore is a man’s probability for having life-threatening prostate cancer, and allows their doctors to add this to the PSA and other clinical information to gauge whether a prostate biopsy is necessary.

“Our clinical data demonstrated that the 4Kscore could help to reduce unnecessary biopsies by providing more accurate information on the probability of high-grade prostate cancer,” said David Okrongly, president of OPKO Diagnostics (NYSE: OPK), the maker of the test.

Thanks, c2crusher, for sharing your thoughts. It may be relevant to post what PF said about the OCT13 Arno RS where OPKO and PF were new investors. From a 30OCT13 Globe Newswire PR stating Dr. Phillip Frost, OPKO's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Our team at OPKO regularly reviews what we consider exciting healthcare investments that offer scientific opportunities in areas of unmet medical need. Our process for selection is diligent. We were attracted to Arno based on the potential of onapristone and its progress towards the clinic. Dr. Belldegrun and the Arno development team have constructed a thoughtful clinical strategy intelligently incorporating a fully developed companion diagnostic. We look forward to expanding our relationship with Arno as the Company continues to advance the compound's clinical development." Bottom line, IMHO, is that an OPKO/PF interest in COCP does not preclude the possibility of a future RS by COCP. I’ve invested in Frost related companies for over 3 decades and my long-term position has always been to say it is what it is and just be patient. And here we are 1 year later and Arno recently updated that Arno’s onapristone showed P1 activity and the dose had been determined for designing P2 trials.
