    Breaking news for Nokia

Allowing others to save face always pays dividends.
Ultimatums and lack of flexibility are never good.
The world is still a global marketplace, never forget that.

  • What a lame article.

One reason is that they have reinstitued dividends and proposed stock buybacks. (that is usually a reason stocks go higher!)

Another reason is "Investors should stay away from Nokia for the time Being" (that is NOT a reason)

Third, and only legitimate reason is the competition its networks dividsion is facing and lower sales. (Nokia is gaining a lot of traction here with many new, and higher margin, contract wins. They are purposly avoiding low margin business.)

What a poorly written "hit" piece.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Dividend reinstatement
    Dividend for last year
    Special dividend
    Share buyback
    Debt paydown

What more can you ask of a company? Excellent decisions....all around.

    Plus,
-they will be increasing patent licensing fees,
-and generating a big increase in revenues in the second half of the year in their NSN division. They lost some revenue in the 1st quarter, but that's because they dropped unprofitable contracts. (Great move in my opinion, however Wall Street pooh pooh's this. Where the HE LL did those analysts go to school? Historically its always been expected to drop unprofitable lines and grow margins on the remaining ones. U.S. companies are praised for this.
    -HERE will be grown
-and remarkable products will be forthcoming from their Advanced Technologies Group.

Also, don't forget that their exposure to the US Dollar is minimal (for now). With many fine minds proclaiming a coming collapse in the Dollar, you'll be glad your money is in another currency. (If you must own U.S. companies, dow so with the proviso that they earn a bulk of their money overseas. Co's like Coke, MCD, GE, etc.)

I certainly wouldn't sell here. If anything, I'd add to my position from here on in.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • ECOB is NOT diluting it share base. I know.
Furthermore, there are no massive shorts. True shorts are very astute. They wouldn't short a stock and expose themselves for massive losses for only a .002 gain at most! (especially since Home Depot is on board in a big way, making it likely that any sales ramp in future earnings reports will moove us significantly higher)

Put all this shorts nonsense to bed...and rest assured, there will be no further dilution in the near future.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Anybody who thought Nokia's engineers were nothing to speak of, will have to think again.

File this under "science for science's sake." At least for now. A team of researchers at Nokia and Korean carrier SK Telecom have demonstrated a super-fast LTE network running at 3.7Gbps -- that's speedy enough to transfer a 5GB file in just 11 seconds. To put that in context, most LTE networks deliver up to around 150 Mbps, and even the most cutting-edge of cutting-edge LTE-Advanced networks tap out at 300 Mbps. Sounds like a pretty big improvement, eh? Well, this is where that proof-of-concept thing comes in: No phone on earth is currently capable of these speeds, nor are most modems, for that matter. So, it could be a while before your handset is actually capable of downloading a full-length movie in 11 seconds. Still, good to know the technology's there, right?

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Sure, you can buy some for flipping, but keep your major holdings long term.
The company is positioning itself for longer term growth and so should you.

  • On Fast Money last night, they did a segment with an analyst on the mad scramble amongst them, to get a foothold onto vapor market, like e-cigs. Most likely takeover candidate is Lorrilard.
However I can see overtures being made to take over Mcig as a foothold into vapors. The analyst said that vapor cigs will grossly outsell tobacco products in a few years.
whatever you do, don't let go of your stock!

You really must sell your holdings and get out now! While you still can.
    Then......just go away.

  • druggie is misleading people.

Anyone who owned the stock before yesterday, just add .51 to the current price, and that's your real gain.
So if you sold yesterday at 8.33 and receive no dividend, it's the same as if you held it and sold today (today's price plus .51)
Either way you made out quite well.

Me? I added to my postion this morning because the company is doing everything right.
cutting debt, share buybacks, div. reinstatement, and most improtantly, from here on out....profitablility.

Nokia will not tip their hand. Nto yet.
Be patient as revolutionary new products and services will be forthcoming that will transform Nokia into the rising star it once was.
Innovation + solidly improving balance sheets + share buybacks + increasing patent royalties = terrific growth company.

VISTA, Calif., May 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eco Building Products, Inc. (ECOB) announced today that the Wells Eason development in West Lancaster, California is now ready to proceed with construction of two more model homes for the Desert Crest Project located in West Lancaster, CA. The project is currently underway with concrete ready for framing material that ECOB will deliver on Monday May 5th, 2014 with forty-one (41) additional production units to follow depending on current sales.
Lancaster was once the epicenter of the "Power House Fire" that burned thousands of acres during a Santa Ana wind storm fueled by extreme heat, similar to the weather in Southern California today where over 1000 acres are currently burning. Infamous for fanning regional wildfires in Southern California, the Santa Ana Winds have come early this year. In past years, billions of dollars of damage have been incurred as a result of these destructive wildfires, most of which represent consumed housing stock in the region. This Lancaster, California housing development now under construction has been specified with ECOB's Red Shield protected lumber, representing this developer's commitment at ensuring the safety of his customers and their homes being developed.
