you forgot that all businesses revenues are declining yoy. other than Elop who had a clear control of the company and able to move butts ... it is not clear if current management can do that. from this 10Q, it tells me NOT. Going back to the burning platform again ... it has good cash coming in ... but cash I also going out. If its businesses continue to shrink ... NOK will be back to $4. Uggg.... technology stock is not for fainted of heart.
Elop gave Nokia a lifeline. MSFT needed NOkia handset, but probably a better buy if it has bought Blackberry. Elop laid out a great foundation for future forward for Nokia, but the nokia management is acting like a deer staring in the headlight. bad news for investors. I had tons of Nokia and got everything out this morning ... took a huge loss after my big win from $3/share. ouch!
IP is a great income stream. But from my experience, investors do not get excited with that type of income. So usually, it is discounted out of the share price. Unless there has already been loyalty agreement signed up and indicated the dollar amount .. .any "potential" ... street will not look at it. This management is in trouble and do not be surprised if they fumble for the next couple quarters. Also, watch out for CEO search, if they are desperate, they may just bring a couple wrong "CEO"s before they get it right. I see this stock hovering around 6 for the next couple quarters ... loved Nokia and loved what Elop was doing, but now it looks like Nokia has lost its directional momentum. Good luck to all investors.
different this time. down on every businesses. this is the first report card without Elop and it looks like a "F". it will settle around 6 and from there, market will take a wait and see attitude. Its HERE map is a huge product, but Nokia has failed to make it sexy and known to potential users. Doesn't look like anyone at Nokia has a clue how to monetize that business effectively.
I loaded up huge before earning release. must admit that the NOKIA management blindsided me. No warning and nothing to indicate 20% of drop all across the businesses. No new deals signed .. I am very very concerned about new management's ability to carry on Elop's work. Elop got Nokia a great deal, but it looks like he left Nokia a terrible management team. The current management team seems to be a bit lost ... I look at its earning report and see no end to bleeding. Elop signed up with MSFT and simplified Nokia's business model ... but it doesn't look like the current management knows how to execute. Nokia will settle around $6 in the next couple months. I am out. I cleared all my nokia shares, took a adjusted loss, because I did make some $ with nokia. My winnings is lessened by this new horrible management team. I am not going to place my money in this team, so I take my adjusted loss and move on. Good luck to longs.
How much? I dunno. But it got to be above $4. I would guess around $6 per share. I owned some ZNGA from $8, so that doesn't say much for me. If you look at it, MSFT is building a team to shift its business to mobile. It bought NOkia's mobile phone, it is building its own x-box mobile gaming platform, Skype and it wants contents to power its assets. ZNGA would be a great addition. ZNGA is sitting on tons of cash and buying it at $6 a share is like buying at $4 per share ... which is around its current stock value. just a guess, since the new CEO for znga has tie to msft as well.
