Bad trade for Yum. Yum gives #$%$ salty 87% frozen beef Tacos in return for worthless Rabbit cage liner Yen. The Japanese are the winners, sorry Taco Bell.
The "Peter Lynch" analysis says nobody I know has gone to KFC in years and nobody goes to Taco Bell now that Chipotle and Qdoba are readily available never mind the independent retaraunts. It only goes to reason that the Chinese will abandon the KFC gar bage, as better options come available. If Taco Bell succeeds in Japan it will only be for a short while before CMG moves in to take their business away with yes a better product. Short at 82.
Your toxic garbage for our toxic garbage. Anyone know if there is anything at Taco Bell that doesn't come frozen wrapped in plastic and preservatives?
EV's depreciate worse than ICE, how are those lease residuals going to hold up? So all of those sales are actually leases and Tesla is still on the hook for the residuals. Kinda like when the Masters of the Univers paid them self huge bonuses for selling #$%$ bag CMO's that they kept on their books. Wow we are getting closer to the day of reckoning when they have to start taking in those expired leases at inflated prices. Somebody with more accounting accumen than me can explain how the $20,000 overstatement of market value will hit TSLA's income statement.
I sold after earnings, it can probably push higher with stock buybacks and expansion but I haven't gone there in a long time and my kids don't even clamor for the microwaved preservative laden egg sandwich anymore.Somewhere the Chipotle, Whole foods phenomenom will undermine there business. I obviously think we are there right now. DNKN's food is gross, the coffe has no flavor, MCD Newman's coffee is superior and cheaper. People are figuring this out at least in the states. Maybe they can shovel this sheet in foreign countries. GLTA
Set back for sure however my mother is currently in assisted living with alzheimer's and I have a personal interest in seeing Vitae or anyone else for that matter make some headway becaues I may be right behind her. God Speed!
Longs better hope UGGS regains its mojo because this will get very ugly with reduced demand and lower average selling prices. Double whammy turns into double penetration for longs.
I would assume they have major tax subsidies supporting sales and like I mentioned I wouldn't mind an EV commuter someday just not for 90k.
I drove my family from Boston to Sugarbush Vt over 200 miles with my new Acura MDX loaded to the gills and the heat blasting. How could I even think about driving a Tesla over 200 miles with my family in the car with the temperature below zero in the middle of nowhere. The MDX gets close to 26 MPG on the highway and has all the bells and whistles for $45k. If I wanted an electric car to commute I'd look at the Nissan Leaf.
then comma the custama, then comma are empwoyees, then comma da shareholders.
I thought I read where Tesla uses a series of Panasonic batteries to create a large battery. So why isn't Panasonic the beneficiary of such high hopes?
Sony already makes a sports camera that mounts on the side at eyelevel which makes the camera easier to capture and aim at what your trying to record and I think Nikon knows how to make a video camera
Water only flows one way..... All cash will go to me and my Communist overlords, nothing for workers and of course nothing for wide eyed investors. More fwee drinks Grover!!!
Thanks for the info, nice to see US production and jobs. I always try to look at the American auto makers when in the market for a new car but sadly they can't match Honda. It's kind of interesting how people can ignore the repair records of some American cars or the outrageous maintenance expense of the European autos. The only explanation is they do no research and make emotional decisions, kinda stupid if you ask me.
Longs, the only people buying this stock here is the company to allow insiders and institutions liquidity, all be it paltry, to get out. Do yourself a favor and don't ride this into another holiday. UGGS are not going away but they will have to keep dropping the price to attract buyers, the 'In Crowd" aren't going to shake their parents down to pay $200 on these warm and comfortable yet goofy boots.
I just bought an Acura MDX, pretty nice car. If I'm not mistaken Honda has a lot of production between Canada and the States. I don't know what percentage however those sales and profits would be all dollars and yen depreciation wouldn't matter. Just wondering if their dollar based sales coupled with some Yen based price discouting wont make this a good one? I guess a lot of it comes down to how well their sales are going overall. I have a Honda pilot that has 200k miles and I've never had to repair the car, which brought me to the MDX. and now to the stock.
They need to keep that cash to effectively buyback all the insider stock options that they have been cashing in for years. And when the music stop which I believe is now, the shareholders are left with nothing but paper or in this day and age electronic entries on their brokerage statement. How do you think those $70 and $80 stock purchases are going to feel when UGGS sales decline 30%??? It's a textbook crash and burn. Cramer wears a Formula One fire proof suit as he's been involved in so many crashes that he will crawl out of this one unscathed when it breaks $60.
What has wide eyes but can not see..? American investors of course, ha, ha, ha Grover, preez more free drinks!!
