so prasm was down at delta for November but they say might be up 7 to 9 percent for December. similar will probably happen at united, maybe that's why airlines were weak today. however look for strong late December performance in my opinion. also oil spiked today for not much reason/
The software changes to the GEnx-2B full authority digital engine control unit are designed to help the engine itself detect the presence of ice crystals when the aircraft is flying through a convective weather system. If detected, the new algorithms will schedule variable bleed valves to open and eject ice crystals that may have built up in the area aft of the fan, or in the flowpath to the core. The modification to the GEnx control logic leverages similar changes made to improve the ability of the CF6 to operate in similar icing conditions.
i am not an expert, but there is probably a sensor for something that is associated with ice formation, and change the fuel air mix in the combuster to have the engine run hotter so ice will not build up. just a guess
that is kind of strange. I think some big boys are getting hurt being short, but they can't seem to knock this stock down right now. probably setting up for a short squeeze to the upside.
