I totally agree with the postings here, but there is absolutely nothing a small shareholder can do. Management
controls the number of shares by their own holdings and by those held in their employees' retirement plans. Neither the big funds care for the small shareholder. Of course, this time the stock is tanking sooooo, maybe....Hope springs eternal.
The latest item I read about the bank is that they have redeemed all the preferred shares issued to face the "crisis." This should free more cash from earnings to reward patient shareholders after upper-management and the board get their "fair share!" Of course, we holders of common shares should not complain too much. After all the dividend has risen by some thirty percent since it was from one dollar and eight cents to forty cents.
