  • Same pattern everyday. Buy at the end of each day and sell around 1or 2 the next day when its up in small amounts to bring it back down. Rinse and repeat.

  • I meant to say the new Play soda maker in my prior post, not Source.

  • My theory is that management overestimated the number of machines they would sell during the holiday season and increased their inventory accordingly. Faced with this over supply problem they could have held the price and be stuck with old inventory which would have to compete with the new Source machine which is designed to sell at a much lower price point. I think they made the right decision to run a clearance sale just like car companies do when they switch over to a newer year model, or when a department store discounts it`s winter clothes to make room for the summer inventory. While there were certainly negatives resulting from managements decisions, there were also positives. When you cut your price by 50% you have to sell twice as many units to equal the same revenue, which they came close to doing. Therefore, the positive from the conference call will be the number of units sold far exceeding projections which in the long run will yield greater sales of consumables in the future. Since they were able to sell a huge number of the machines at this lower price point this bodes well for future sales of the new lower priced Source unit. Another point is that each unit sold becomes a word of mouth ad to their friends and relatives. More sales begets more sales. As far as the Palestine issue goes, most people will ignore it. Walmart and McDonalds have done quite well in spite of constant bashing from one group after another.
