A fund sold that many shares. Another fund bought. One thinks they better get out before the bottom; the other feels this is overdone. No one knows for sure; this market is pure and simple gambling.
Officers get their shares for $8.00 and sell at $106.00. Look at insider trading. I am not posting anything that isn't true. Most of these bio tech stocks have made the officers millions while the average investor gets left holding the bag unless you sell when they do; at the hyped up highs.
OMG-Is that how you are calculating the price per share? That's what's wrong with the average investor. They haven't a clue. This stock is worth no more than $70.00 but was pumped up by wall street and CNBC. Stay away until this thing really corrects and then re-enter.
That says it all. Bio's going down after unbelievable hype. This has had a great run but if you didn't sell when it was over 100 don't start asking questions about the downturn now. Reminds me of the fuel cell pump and now everyone is holding the bag who didn't sell at the top. Look at PLUG and FCEL.
Silver could go down to $5.00; just read 2015 prediction. SLV has not bottomed but I am waiting and watching to own SLV.
Okay, here we are and no double by year end. Still waiting after all these years of holding for something to happen. Ugh
I tend to agree with you. I am now on the sidelines sitting on cash until I see how this plays out. It's scary out there at the top.
trying to break the smaller US oil companies so we will have to rely on foreign production as 10 yrs. ago. With all the fracking in the US, it's not going to work but these small little known companies cannot hang on. I see MILL going banko as they cannot hold out for oil to rebound. It will go lower in 2015 before it goes back up. Only gamble with the big boys such as Exxon or Valero. They can withstand the pain.
Here's how I play DOW. I buy 1000 shares at a time. It would pay me $420.00 every 3 months for the div. If I can buy 1000 shares and it quickly moves 50 cents; I made $500.00 profit and don't have to wait for the next div. I wait for it to back off again and do the same thing. I am better off than taking a risk at it tanking like it did. I will continue to buy and sell but only if it goes up 50 cents; otherwise I hold for the next div. I don't have to pay the 39% tax on the quick gain because it's in my IRA. Good luck to you. I agree with you totally; DOW is a great stock and the divs. add up over the years. Either way, there is little risk to owning DD or DOW. Thanks for not bashing. Everyone can learn from other investors strategies. Your money will be awarded to you on Jan. 30th $$$
about how well the product is doing. Basically it is not so well liked or this would be at the highs instead of the lows. The do-it-yourself always fades out once the hype is over. Sell while you still have some money left and get into chemicals.
That means the funds had to settle and you had to buy last week in order to own by yesterday. If you sell today, you still get the div. since the ex-date was the 29th. The stock usually goes down the price of the div. as they deduct the payout but DOW is so low that buyers are still coming in expecting this to rebound to at least $50.00. Nice going to all who held-like Stiflerz. Don't panic longs; it's up on a down day. I still hold some but day traded several times when it hit the lows and rose up quickly. Still waiting for 50 to sell the rest.
Down 20 bucks a share since May. This is too new and looks like it may go banko. You are right; the dividend is the only reason people bought this stock and now that they have taken it away leaves little hope that CVEO will make it.
The tonic water from this soda stream is absolutely the worst stuff I have ever tasted. What a way to ruin a good glass of vodka or gin. I buy tonic from the store; had some soda stream tonic made at my sister-in-laws and the whole party wondered what was wrong with their drink. Also saw the machines for sale in NV and they had been sitting on the shelves forever. Word is out; they are not what they were cracked up to be and the cost is higher than buying at the store. Who wants these? It's like the I-Robot. What a pile of junk. It never vacuums the whole room; just runs around willy-nillie running into walls and missing areas. By the time it is finished you have to get your Swiffer or vacuum out and do it all again.
It's looking like it's heading up quite quickly. I sold most but kept a little.
