you guys are very committed to this stock / company when it comes to defending it on this board. But, when the price falls to lower levels, there is zero conviction...absolutely none.
ValueDUMB says he owns 500,000 shares...you'd think at least he would keep buying to protect such a position.
Others keep saying 'wait for it....wait for it' or saying run way lengths are important or involved. Absurd.
This is a stock message board. Defend this company with your capital or LEAVE. Or, better yet, come here with an open mind and be respectful to those with negative perspectives....the negative perspective camp has been the RIGHT camp for some time now.
I don't suspect manipulation at all. it can go much lower from here. If it reaches $0.60, then that's 10% more losses...but you need a 17% increase from there to break even back to $0.70. People who bought at $1.00 or higher are hurting badly and I imagine and selling saying 'enough'. So many other brighter spots in the market to tie capital up here.
I'm totally with you on the options. This is pure speculation at this point, so I'd suggest that anyone BUYING stock at this point is mad....and without buyers but some selling from pain, the price will drop. The play here is what I believe you have done - long term options where you have defined and therefore limited risk but unlimited reward (depending on how you play the options).
there was a match between buyers and sellers for 400,000 shares. The MM likely facilitated it and because this pretty much satisfied all significant buying and selling pressure, the stock price didn't move.
For manipulation to happen, I would guess that there would be price movement...otherwise the 'manipulators' are just loosing with commissions and fees.
yes I think that trade was initiated by a large holder and then facilitated by the MM. Impossible to know if the large holder wanted in or out.
My guess is that someone wanted to reduce their large position. Reason being that there was some renewed optimizing around SYMX end of 2014 with the company making several seemingly positive announcements. The company has been silent since, which I think would drive a large holder to reduce. I don't see any event (except maybe just the price itself) that would trigger such a large trade. People trading that many shares make calculated moves....so, I see it as someone reducing a large position.
My view on SYMX is that the company made some very promising announcements recently, which has changed my sentiment from very bearish to mildly bullish. I see the next public statements (earnings or otherwise) as more likely positive than negative. So, I am a speculator with long calls.
