You're contradicting yourself. Last week, you stated that Culley was compelled to release results contemporaneous to their delivery to him. What happens if he were to have negative results released to him early Tuesday morning? Or if he sat on good news over the three-day holiday weekend? Both scenarios are inconsistent with your prior statements. (I work in courtrooms for a living) Hopefully, your proclamation that you're "super EXITED" is merely a Freudian slip....and not a precursor of things to come.
Agree that the bears here haven't made a convincing argument based on the science....but the criticism regarding the dilution has some validity. When you look at the long term chart vs. peers.....it becomes obvious that not everything has been handled perfectly by management. And....to say that "everyone (obviously) thought (a positive outcome) impossible" is hyperbole. If that were indeed the case, no one would be invested here.....including Baker. The definitive answer hasn't been delivered. Keep in mind.........humility gets rewarded....and arrogance gets punished. Not trying to pick on you....just trying to get you to keep your feet on the ground. You're levitating from the euphoria.
It's astounding.....that SCD is three times more prevalent than cystic fibrosis.....yet it receives 70 times FEWER research dollars than CF. That implies only one thing......a systemic (and shameful) devaluing of African Americans. Only one approved med. Nutritional derangements go unaddressed. When Vitamin D and/or zinc status are repleted......the rate of SCD crises drops by over 50%. Nothing worse than needless suffering. I think all this makes something like vepo more viable. It's long overdue. I'll remain a skeptic until they deliver the "goods".
I think this is a decent speculative investment, but I cringe a bit at the unabashed cheerleading. We've all at least once suffered from a "drunken euphoria".....where we get over-extended on one stock....and fail to allocate properly. I like the way the EPIC parameters were "tailored".....and the government certainly is motivated to get something done for SCD patients.....I just feel that the optimism has to be tempered. I've seen too many of these things blow up. What's your cost basis? I'm at .33
