Thus far, the outbreaks over the past several months have all been on turkey farms. I have seen no outbreak info on any farms except Seaboard (SEB).
On the subject of bird flu, other countries had had outbreaks over the past six months (coverage in WorldPoultry). One outbreak mentioned in today's issue:
145,000 birds have been culled by order of the Telangana (India) government, after an outbreak of H5N1 Avian Influenza. The site of infection is Srinivas Reddy Poultry Farm’s in the Ranga Reddy district.
I've seen reports of outbreaks in northern Europe, UK, India, China, Hong Kong, Canada FSU countries and other. As more reports come in, it becomes more clear it is a worldwide phenomenon. Other than politics, not a real world trade issue (but politics always enters the picture).
