a person without a vision is a person without a future - look ahead...don't look back
One more twist: Selling shares will dilute the earnings per share, If the example $100,000 company had net income of $5,000, the earnings per share would be $5 for a P/E of 20. If 100 new shares are sold, the earnings per share drops to $4.55. If people believe the stock should be priced at a P/E of 20, the share price should drop to $91 from the before stock issuance $100.
Having said that, if the market does not have much faith in the management and its use of cash, then stock will come down...as it has
Jerry - from a capital or market value point of view, selling shares should not significantly change the per share value. Shares going out from the new issue result in cash equal to the value of those shares coming into the company. Consider a hypothetical company with a $100,000 market value and 1,000 shares. Each share is worth $100. If the company sells 100 more shares, it will bring in $10,000. The value of the company should increase by the $10,000 to $110,000 and the number of shares outstanding increase to 1,100, maintaining the $100 per share value
Put your $$$ where your mouth is champ. Let us know at what price you are shorting - I predict you shall be losing your shirt and your wife shall be losing her husband,
Chanos so desperate (with a couple rats like him on this board who are proud pests) - been losing a good penny last few weeks. MEDIA...HELLLLP ME...LNG BAD...Tell the believers to exit
Where are you you slimy lizard? I can't hear you or see you. Come out you little rat and say something negative about the new CEO or...LNG. You know who you are....come out come out wherever you are
Go away troll...you know who you remind me of - other than the buzzing mosquito in my ear? You remind me of the bible thumpers and try-hard preachers at train stations warning of doom's day - and those fake Buddhist monks with shaved heads, weird smiles and flowing robes of orange. You know them...they follow a similar script offering wishes of peace and a shiny amulet, they solicit donations from passers-by, often reinforcing their pitch by showing a picture of a temple for which the money seems to be intended. Then they open a notebook filled with the names of previous donors and the amounts given. You know them...you do...right? Well that's you. But switch the shiny amulet with LNG. Ok maybe not exactly a fair comparison (not fair to those crooks) - but you get the point. You are preaching for the sake of preaching. Your reward "money" is the praise we heap upon you one day (you hope) - so one day we all say...MAN that rbsh*tman was RIGHT all along. He saw doomsday coming. Thank you rbsh*tman. rbsh*tman You rock!!!
It only matters if you're trying to communicate with others. Otherwise you're golden. If you're aiming for soliloquies, then you have no problems. The issue is, we don't fully understand you. Not highly intelligible communication. What comes across is an angry, unhappy, negative immature 7 year old trying to make an argument. Kicking and screaming...
Who said LNG is not in depressed mode? So now supply outstrips demand. There is this weird thing called a CYCLES. Oil goes up and down. LNG prices go up and down. I know what you're thinking Borat Sherman. You're thinking...WHAaaaaaaaaaaaaat????? Yes. Cycles. Demand and supply. Cheniere has 20 year contracts. Whaaaaaaaaat?? Idiot.
Sherminator...You are like that little mosquito that does nightly fly by's next to my ear when I'm trying to sleep. I keep trying to slap it and kill it, but it's way too dark and I don't want to fully wake up to get rid of it. Let me ask you this: Do you have a life? Other than pontificating hourly about Cheniere? Holy Gorgonzola-
Ok LNG genius. You are right. We are all wrong. For the love of GOD or whatever you believe in... Go away. Seriously. You are not that smart. You are just blabbing your highly uninformed opinions 24/7. And you're not even short the stock. You could've made a fortune last week if you acted on what you believe in and what you're preaching. You would have crowned yourself king of the LNG hill. You might have another great week next week. Doesn't make you right.
Not sure who I despise more: you or the mini bots that keep pushing the Ultimatestocks websites. I would argue the bots are not as annoying. We get your points (or not). Thank you (or not). Now move on. Go away.
Compare to ViaSat - putting a massive network in the sky...if you build it, they shall come. And they will. Low LNG prices are but a temporary phenomenon. LNG replacing coal. I agree with naysayers that LNG prices have been dealt a big blow this year as demand in key importing countries such as China has moderated. Robust supply growth and competitive coal pricing have also put gas prices under pressure. However, demand and supply cycle up and down. Demand for LNG is huge and growing. Renewable energy sources have no chance against LNG in the short-medium term. They are many many years away from reality - replacing hydrocarbons. There should be no doubt guys that LNG will have an increasingly influential role in the changing landscape of global energy supply. Long few years ahead. Don't look at next week and the week after. Have an open mind.
