The shareholders could have had $40 a share but I guess the BOD and CEO of Depomed need their jobs too much and cannot sell. Oh well, us shareholders ultimately pay the price. Icahn, where are you?
That bozo also was trashing FSLR at $12 and SPWR at $4 years ago - not to mention the Chinese solars at their lows! This guy is a total joke. He NEVER bashes these solars at their highs! Only comes out of the woodwork after a massive sell off and says they are going lower! And now, after 85% or $30 sell off now he's pounding the table there is another $1.00 or so of possible downside!!!? Come on! That just speaks volumes right there!
Those guys are momentum traders with zero clue on fundamentals or investing thesis longer than 5 minutes. They just push anything that's shooting up or poo poo anything going down. Like Cramer. CNBC quality is poor with regards to real investment advice. Just do your own DD and you'll see SUNE is not filing BK although it's trading like it just did!!
This kind of price action means some big fund or hedgie is either shorting or exiting. Sell off seems irrational and unstoppable. Seen this way too often. Every time it feels "it's different this time". But a few weeks later, usually it appears to have been a gift for starting a position. M is a strong company with decent management and CHEAP shares, with forward PE of less than 8, well under peers. So once this current sell off is done, some value investors will move in and no doubt push up the price - IMO we'll see $45 before end of this year.
Einhorn still kept 75% of shares! Unless this is a BK story (which isn't likely at this point), it's a good risk/reward long holding here.
LVS was under $2 a few years ago! I remember the Board was reacting in somewhat similar way then. Just stay calm and you may make money - shorts have to cover at some point.
At what point would the BOD take action against CEO and the rest of the so-called management who are obviously running this once-great company to the ground? Obviously, current strategy is completely wrong. When should there be a realization and change to strategy? Hint: Troubles started with the purchase of Vivent.
I guess that was the right move even though my net worth dropped $50 per share due to my decision!
Yeah that was with Gordon Johnson - he wants to beat down solars any chance he gets. Usually comes out when there's a big sell off in the sector. Another pretender not a contender.
If so, then definitely a buy now. Cramer is a precise contrarian to stock movements. Don't forget, he was yelling buy buy buy when KMI was above $40.
Even Andrew Left covered - he admitted today on CNBC! Dumb shorts are still needed to hold the bag and suffer when VRX moves back up - we need you shorts! After all it's a zero sum game.
