Remember that the short-term traders shorting this down, riding the momentum from $130+ to $100 in days, now have to think about covering. This thing is a coiled spring and could bounce (as it has so many times) violently to the upside and squeeze the $%#@ out of the shorts.
Why not think of this as a buying opportunity? One insider selling should not ring alarm bells. PCYC story and fundamentals are still intact. Do your own research and see.
Typical that shorts get too greedy. Playing with fire here - this thing could go up $20 in a few days - as it did last month.
Because it's extremely cheap and it's growing top and bottom lines. Hell I just convinced myself to buy more tomorrow.
You really should own a basket of the solars. JKS, CSIQ and TSL are the tier 1 companies currently making a profit. These should do very well as long as China, Japan and US continue to ramp up on clean energy.
How much will JKS make next year? And where would they be at the peer PEG ratio? Just askin...
The solars are on fire today. This will do major catch up soon. And shorts will need to cover at the whif of any good news from Saphire.
Don't trust the Chinese. Also, isn't this a reverse merger? No SEC scrutiny. Could go to zero in one day! So many other safer exciting places to invest your hard earned money.
Banmate, Don't overthink this. GTAT has landed THE whale. However, the margins will be pressured since AAPL has a lot of leverage here. But, the volume of the business will way over compensate this. Bottom line is the $$ amount of the profit should be significant albeit at lower margins. Margins are only important if the top-line doesn't grow. With GTAT the top-line will grow dramatically if Saphire is adopted by AAPL. AAPL seems to have done their home work and have shown their commitment with the advance to GTAT. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. GTAT should grow their business dramatically over the next few years. I'm glad to see it's still under the radar here. Also, don't forget the 30% short position. That could spell a major squeeze once the Saphire business start to ramp up.
Yawn - the fundamentals of the solar industry have not changed recently. Only bad news was SOL scrapping their plans to expand facility. Who knows why but all assume that demand must be worse than expected. This is loco - just read the latest earnings announcements of JKS, CSIQ and TSL. Don't give up your shares here.
Take a look at a 1 year chart and relax. This uptrend is not yet broken. Just market volatility. Hang in there and you'll be rewarded. Forward P/E under 10!!!
A dramatic ramp up in production requires lots of capital. Could be a pre-requisite of the AAPL deal. AAPL wants to be sure they won't have supply-chain issues on this. Don't forget that Tim Cook was the supply-chain guy at AAPL before he became CEO. He understands what it takes and must have dictated the cash requirement as part of the deal. If this is so, it's very bullish for GTAT.
