I would be very surprised if Apple did not provide the whole hardware system in the final volvo product. When has apple ever allowed another company to control the interface to the Apple experience?Especially a product that is considered a low cost and lower quality screen expierence.
For the reasons stated above, the Court FINDS that the appropriate ongoing royalty rate
The Clerk is DIRECTED to send a copy ofthis Order to the parties.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
Oh yes they did pump the stock. Remember when mgmt stated they would no-longer announce design wins..only companies that were actually going to product
development?.....and then they started announcing design wins right before earnings...that is what sent me to the exit door.
It's more than the bezel issue. One of the big reasons Amazon dropped Neon was the problem of non-intentional touches and ghosting...which are IR issues.
Apple is a much cheaper stock and better position for the future of wearable tech.
What always bothered me about the printer/copier stuff is that it's a dying market. I mean it could be fitting that a dying technology of IR is going into a dying product line...I got out because i just lost faith that these guys could participate in the products that have all the market share...i believe the auto market will leave NEON in the dust also. Maybe kiddie toy cars will use it.
who out there besides a few e-reader and printer companies is using IR technology?
I still am not sold that IR fits anywhere in the consumer high end market. Not one quality
cell phone product has adopted it eventhough the cost would make them a fortune in
on the margins. Not one main-stream laptop or tablet either....so all of a sudden they
are going win the dashboard and Microsoft will standardize on them..ahhh not convinced.
Apple and Google are moving very fast to capture the auto market. Below points to their
discussions with Nvidia. Not sure how Neon and Nvidia are working together but if Neon
loses out on this growth mkt the way they did with phones...you get the picture.
They also plan to disclose collaborative efforts with other automotive and tech companies, including chip maker Nvidia Corp. NVDA +0.57% , to establish Android as an important technology for future vehicles, these people said. The aim is to allow drivers and passengers to access music, navigation, apps and services that are similar to those widely available now on Android-powered smartphones, these people added.
