I understand CBS will talk up EXAS colon test tomorrow night. Hope they hype it up as they typically do. should help the stock short term, anyway...
Exactly. You CAN'T order the test yourself; your posts imply the opposite...lol. English must be your second or third language. Right?
Really? You must be a physician, huh? FDA approval was conditional for prescription only from a doctor; patient does exam like an occult blood test and sends off to lab; results in couple of weeks.
Can't order the test directly...lol
Yeah, Afros upset cause they got to go to work... they and their democrat friends are always talking about fighting the this, fighting for that...well now they realize they will soon be fighting for those precious Welfare dollars.lmao
Yep... I was afraid of that... today is the day of record, two days before ex-div day of 4/19...lol so lots of folks went ahead and sold. they get their dividend and stock in May but are getting out of stock short term...lol; guess there is no free ticket anywhere, lol
Yes, thanks. I understood only up to 20% would be cash, but still thought stock should rise more than it did. Agree their record on divs has been good in the past, and as a REIT should still be ok, regardless.
Hi, must be some mistake. The historical records off the Yahoo Finance page for CXW show sit has not closed below 37 since beginning of year... never got near 34. lol. anyway the spec div announcement came about 4/8 and the stock has only creeped up to the 40 level today; $3 at most since announcement... I am still puzzled. I'm hoping there will not be any issues getting the $6.63 next week....
Isn't it strange, that considering anyone who owns CXW on 4/19 will get $6.63/sh but the stock price has only rose about $2 since the announcement...? I would think stock price should be up at least $4-$5 by now; seem like it would be easy money....
The ex-div date is the crucial one.... If you choose, You can buy the day before the ex-div date and sell on the ex-div date and You (not the new buyer)will get the distribution(or dividends as the case may be). And the date you place your order is the 'buy' date , not the date your trade is 'settled'.
Jack, it is a pleasure to read your informative and well thought-out responses on this board and the MLP boards I follow. You are a gem. Top of the Day to you!!!
Unfortunately there really is no 'appeals' process and FDA does not have to follow the Expert Scientific Panel opinion... BUT, it is now in the political arena. Political pressure could force FDA (based on the Panel recommendations) to move the drug into the 'early approval' status... We'll have to see if Orexigen has any political clout here. Negotiating for a limited initial use restriction (time limit of use) is a possible option while the double-blind study is conducted.
