  • We finally have the expected clearance from the FDA & the stock only surged a very short time & now back to its same patterns of 8.50 - 9.15, I thought sure the stock would be trading around the 11-12 level & holding since the value of SGYP has increased substantially ? somebody please chime in! Long SGYP

SGYP follows a predictive pattern so fairly easily to trade. I may use 1,500 shares to trade with as well, but no way I would gamble my entire position @ this point . Hope some kind of deal happens soon ? got 55k tied up & 20k on a FB trade that went south lol

added this morning @ around 9 which brings my total number of shares to 6,500, I have bought & sold many times making around 15k but I'm holding now till news of partnership or buyout . 15 a share is a given but I think we could easily see 20 !! It is possible but only if someone bids against Shire ?

    Overall:

Stoxline posted a STRONG BUY today, same as yesterday. This stock still seems to be very strong for long buyers. If you bought, continue to hold stock until SELL signal. You are relatively safe as long as the SELL warning is not issued.

I trust your math, but I still believe SGYP will receive a price closer to $20!

so a $7 upside ? I've heard estimates from $14-25 but SGYP is not in the best financial shape, but hey do have a multi-billion product so I see a higher price than $15. thanks for your info

Thanks for article & all looks good for SGYP shareholders, but on a sale of 2.8b with 107m shares outstanding that would imply a buyout share price of $26 not $15 as the article states, am I missing something here ? Long SGYP

    FDA final approval thoughts

Troy Hamilton has over 19 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with an emphasis on general management, P&L responsibility, commercialization, partnerships, acquisitions, and global product launches in the gastroenterology and primary care markets. Prior to joining Synergy, Mr. Hamilton held multiple commercial leadership roles over a nine year period within Shire Pharmaceuticals' GI Business Unit. Most recently, he was Vice President, Product Strategy and Commercial Lead, responsible for the GI motility, hepatology, and pipeline products. In this role he also led the GI business development efforts and was involved in all of their recent GI-related company acquisitions. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of GI International Marketing as part of a two year international assignment based in Belgium, and as General Manager for the Inflammatory Bowel Disease franchise globally. Mr. Hamilton joined Shire in 2006 as the Head of US Marketing, leading the successful launch of Lialda® and continued commercialization of Pentasa®. Previously, he spent 10 years at Johnson & Johnson's Janssen Pharmaceuticals and McNeil Specialty Products in a number of in-house and field-based leadership roles within GI/primary care brand management, strategic planning, new product development, and medical services. Mr. Hamilton holds a BS in Pharmacy and PharmD from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and an MBA from St. Joseph’s University. END OF ARTICLE: Not sure if Troy is who you were talking about with FDA background, but he would most certainly be qualified to lead SGYP through the next steps with regards to Plecanatide & getting product to market, as they worked very, very hard to develop a world class drug!!! Long SGYP

Must be nice to make 6.7 billion in a day !!

  • gadzillionman by gadzillionman Jul 23, 2015 9:29 AM Flag

Most of us has taken lots of prescription drugs & know that some have side effects as long as your arm, so in reference to plecanatide we know that this drug passed all 3 phases & only 1% of the 1300 people experienced some mild problems,( this drug is nearly perfect !!! ) so I don't see any way that the FDA does not give a final approval. Long SGYP

Its impossible for anyone to know what's going on with the companies you own @ any given time unless your a professional trader, so to Brian's point the FTC should have just halted the stock until the evening news & just run the story so the average investor could react the next day when trading resumes, although the HFT's have the upper hand & will always get a much higher price for any bad market moving information like in this case than the regular investor, since professional traders hear information first & they have the sophisticated computers. So there is nothing in place to protect the regular investor, they will always come out on bottom!! Kudos to Sully for thinking of the regular Joe investors, maybe now maybe something could be done ? PS: The traders are just taking the middle out of a pie, while your average investors are providing the ingredients & making the damn thing too!!!

    somethings wrong @ AMDA!!!

when the stock gets to 1.00 I may get interested ? but they have a delisting notice from Nasdaq & I'm hearing about a reverse split, it seems like a great technology with the fusion, but no company seems interested ? I've done enough DD to know something doesn't seem right. Keeping AMDA on my watch list ... One stock investors should be buying is SGYP, I own 4,250 shares so I've done plenty of DD on this one, check it out for yourself.

From the IPO about a year & a half ago, the price was $5.75, now its .56 cents, if they have such a great fusion technology with 50 patents why has the stock gone down instead of up ? I've used AMDA only to make some quick money

    GPC: looking more appealing

I still think a buyout could happen, its just a lot of capital to use if deal doesn't happen ? but I don't see much downside risk with the dividend. I picked out CSK as a potential suitor for ORLY 6 months before the deal was announced, this was an ideal opportunity giving them immediate West Coast presence, so I'm simply looking at companies now on the East Coast that would do the same & GPC fits the bill, not perfect because they have other businesses that ORLY wouldn't want, but they would already have buyers in place before they made any deal. I'm holding on buying as I see a good size correction coming by end of summer, as far as a buyout price maybe $110-120. Long ORLY

Thanks, I do very well in the markets & have made some good money, so its not something I would spend a lot of time with, or worry about losing $160 bucks, I think the fraud was with the former CEO anyway its much better than a lottery ticket LOL One stock that I've poured countless hours into is SGYP, I see this company as a takeover since the company has stated they are looking for a buyer, they have developed a multi- billion dollar drug called Plecanatide to treat IBS & now awaiting final FDA approval by years end. Buyout price target by many analyst varies from $16-25. Long SGYP

The big players is simply holding SGYP & not trying to use tight stops so they wont lose a nickel ! No one knows when results of final PS will be out? but stock will absolutely soar on the news alone & then its deal time. Unless the amateurs quit selling their stock so quick in a downturn, we should keep a $8.50 floor on stock!! Be Long & stay Long SGYP Note: $15 on a partnership or maybe a PE loan & 22-25 on a total buyout.

  • Overall 20% of Linzess patients experience diarrhea, which is far greater than the 5.9% and 5.5% incidence rates reported in patients taking the 3 mg or 6 mg dose of plecanatide, respectively. That advantage could suggest that plecanatide has a chance at winning away significant market share from Linzess, if it gets approved. Long SGYP

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

IRWD will fall hard when SGYP either announces final results in their P3 tests for plec... or the company gets acquired. People taking Linzess hates the drug because of the horrible side effects, my girlfriend is one of them, plecanatide will be a near perfect drug on the market with only 1% of people having a major side effect. 63 million customers will be buying their drug soon...... Long of course SGYP

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
