  • Kelly Ripa made more money that EDGW shareholders Billy Owens and Wendall Manness during 1998 and onwards. And she aint got a noodle about stocks!

Bill Owens claimed he lost it all (9 million dollar) and Wendell Manness about the same amount on edgw (aka staffmark) stock. sEE NEWSPAPER INTERVIEW LINK ABOVE. When they BOTH went to the St Louis bookkeeping headquarters, right after they were bought, they handed out $100.00 bills to Lisa Lambert and others in the accounting office, kinda like a reward of some sort. They had to be reminded that they were former business owners, who sold their entire interest to Staffmark (Edgw) and they were not in a position to dictate or reward employees in the corporate office. I guess they didn't understand that WE OWNED THEM. BUT THEY FOUND THAT OUT WHEN THE STOCK PRICE TANKED AND THEY WERE HOLD ING OUR FORMER TREASURY STOCK THAT WE TRADED FOR THEIR FIRMS! Then they were just passengers along for the ride (and crash).

argyros owned that stock a long time. I think since the mid 1980's. Had he invested that money in Apple, or IBM, or even a startup like Tesla, think how much of better return he may have had. In some cases it would have been 25X better return, why he wanted to buy and hold DST I will never know (unless he tells us).
