Japan is blowing hot & cold. Even if the bill is passed , construction of it will exceed beyond 2020 ( after Olympic ). The potential casino operators/bidders ( the successful) should pay off the opponents so as to ensure a smooth passing of the bill. Everybody loves money. Why delay, when sooner or later they are going to pass the bill anyway. They are wasting time as well as the tax payer money where their salary derived from. Convention practice/theory must give way to practical economic
Major welknown casino operators should dictate the terms & conditions of the casino operation. eg no entrance levy impose on local residence and free bus ride up to the entrance of the casinos.
Wynn may be out. LVS got the best chance , follow by either Genting Singapore or Mgm. I think, ultimately it is stil between LVS & Genting S'pore
Pachinkos Palour is actually " Casinos in disguise ( perhaps smaller version )
In Pachinko games, the " metal balls" winner will exchange those won metal balls with gift or say cash from illegal back lane operator. It is " double handling "
which I find it silly. Where as in Casino, there is no double handling except a bit of inconvenience when dealing with rolling/colour chips.
My opinion only.
If casino can help their ailing economy ( a fact ) then why delay it. I don't see any good reason to oppose or do any scrutiny. Just follow some Singapore /Korea rules e.g impose entrance levy on locals or bar those who can't afford to gamble.
The more they talk, the more they ( the law makers ) are wasting tax payer money.
Either Yes or No !
Casino bill can move the stock up 1/2%.
To make life easier, just offer the opposing view, say a million each.
By August, the successful bidder should be recruiting casino staff, otherwise pachinkos all the way.
If you buy 2 minutes before the market close and sell it 3 minutes after hour ( or after market close /report)
If your instinct , after much research & reading for 3 months probably, leads you to 1 direction, then go for it.
They are playing hard to get.
All the established & qualified casino operators should set a time limit for them to decide.
If there failed to decide within the stipulated time frame, then sanction/boycott should should be imposed on them. Let them merrily "pachinkos " all the way.
