was buying NKTR at 12.75 and selling INCY at 25... with that said Nktr has a good pipeline and one drug already approved plus they seem to have entered into some good partnerships with big pharma .. Unfortunately NKTR could be 2 or 3 or 5 years away from getting a home run drug approved... and if you factor in the possibility of a big overall market correction sometime between now and the next 5 years NKTR could fall alot... but you still have the pipeline .. To me the big home run drug is the painkiller drug that is if it is somewhat effective in controlling pain and much less addictive than the opioid drugs currently on the market I would think there would be a large market for such a drug.. I read an article years ago where the author was trying to find the next stock that would perform like Microsoft did in the 80s and 90s He chose ISIS pharmaceuticals .. Well Isis is still around and currently is in the 60s but never became the big drug company that was envisioned...

  • Why doesn't Apple buy ATT , Verizion. Sprint, and T mobile? It's kind of like the Auto parts companies being worth more than the companies that make the cars...

NKTR has one drug approved and producing income .. that is saying alot for a biotech....

  • ATT makes all the big investments upgrading networks and Apple makes all the money selling their imported from China phones that cost nothing to make ... How long can that last?

I bought for the dividend also.. im not so worried about the the stock price going up and down as long as the income keeps coming in? Heard a guy on the radio today talking about the importance of income when investing..His slant was if you go to buy a car or go on vacation you will pay with dollars so you need income from your investments vs. asset gains... IMO ATT is undervalued....Unfortunately Apple seems to be the one making all the money but does so because they are subsidized by the big phone companies...ATT and Verizon lay out big money expanding their networks while Apple imports their expensive phone from China that costs nothing to make and get subsidized by att and verizon . i dont get it . Facebook also has a higher market cap than ATT . I dont get that either...

how long will ATT and Verizon continue to subsidize Apple? Seems like ATT and Verizon spend all the money to upgrade networks and Apple makes all the money....Doesn't Apple get paid full price when ATT sells a phone for half price to get customers to lock into a contract? I bought this stock almost one year ago to the day and its about the same price as i bought it at. I do like the dividend tho... another thing i dont get about this stock is people are having to pay up for dividends in other stocks like elec utilities etc but ATT pays a dividend over 5 per cent and the stock is stuck in the 30's and itrs also the most shorted stock on the DOW which is scarry to me since most of my 401k is in this stock
    .....

OKE will soon be back at 70... unless you load up now there wont be time to acquire it at these prices over a period of time.. no way will wall street let a stock with the ability to pay a dividend languish at these prices.. lve never seen so many 100 dollar stocks..... once they kick in the algorithms will push this stock 2 to 5 per cent a day..... and the rich get richer....

  • i guess as long as interest rates stay low utilities will keep going up.. i dont see interest rates going up very fast when they do decide to raise interest rates.... who knows we may see 50????

a lot of stocks have quadrupled since 2008 some are 10x higher thanks to the fed ( its insulting what the banks are paying in interest).... so its hard to know a true value of a stock.. i own some shares in an electric utility and they missed earnings in the last qter and still the stock has gone up 5 dollars since... ive been thinking about buying OKE thru the drip plan just cant seem to do it as of yet... since OKE is a storage/ pipeline company i guess they wont be hurt as bad as some but do they earn as much money when they aren't moving nat. gas thru the pipelines? I was at the local convenience store the other day getting gas and thought to myself I wonder if people are filling up the tank with the low gas prices so i looked around at the pumps and several pumps showed people had put in or 3 and 5 dollars or 10 dollars worth... that doesn't sound like an improving economy to me.......Hard to know what to do....

any idea what other drugs currently on the market 102 would compete with? there are different levels of pain and different pain killers depending on the type of pain you are being treated for.. if NKTR has a drug that can control chronic pain without the addiction part one would think it would be a blockbuster drug... especially with all the horror stories about many of the pain killers currently out there..

  • market cap nktr 2 billion....NPS 5 billion
revenue nktr 212 million ..... NPS 211 million
cash on hand nktr 200 million NPS .160 million
I know its about the pipeline but NKTR seems undervalued in comparison of the numbers especially if they can get another drug approved....

well we broke through 42 today for the first time that i know of....does one continue buying more and reinvesting the dividends? I guess as long as the Fed continues to support the market it looks like we could go up forever... i wish i had loaded up years ago but bought a few shares in 2010 and added a few shares slowly which was the wrong approach.. I still don't believe in this market and think it goes up for no other reason than the Fed rips off the working class in order for wall streeters to live well .. No where else to get any return on money so until that stops this stock could double from here who knows????? i wish they would split the stock and increase the dividend..

  • yet the stock continues to go up....

this stock is probably dead money until they release data in what i found out today will now be 1st quarter next year and by that time the market will be in correction mode and bio tech stocks will be out of favor.. its all about timing and NKTR is going to be late to the party im afraid... all biotech's were up today........cept NKTR

  • aren't we supposed to get some date on 102 in the next week or so? Incyte (INCY) was another biotech I owned unfortunately i sold at 25 after buying at 17 when goldman sachs issued a report saying the stock was fully valued at 25 since then Incyte has gone to over 70 dollars a share... it will be my luck that i sold the wrong biotech but I think with the potential of the NKTR pipeline this stock could do the same as Incyte in this frothy market ....
