Rexx will be much less effected by the slump in crude prices than the pure shale oil producers because of its mix of natural gas , propanes and other hydrocarbon liquids. If you check the price of natural gas ( Nymex) at beginning of 2014, about $4.44, with the price now, about $3.73 we see a fall of 16% only compared to a fall of 40% in crude prices. Similarly propane prices a year ago were about $3.29 compared to current prices of $3.11 -a tiny 5% drop. So whilst global LNG may be linked to crude oil - this is not Rexx's business . Rexx is a player on the US market .

I have tracked over the past week the position of Leap TV in Electronic Toys Best Sellers at Amazon and here are the figures: Nov 28 - 66th, Dec 1- 54th, Dec 3 - 52nd, Dec 4th - 43rd. I realize this gives very little indication of total sales overall but the trend looks good . Lets hope it continues and we have a great season.

Why sell this company at $15/share because of current weakness in the crude price? - its worth a hell of lot more and I for one will be disappointed if share price does not triple over the next 12-18 months.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • The effect of OPEC's decision not to cut production will be to shake out the weak inefficient American shale producers, some of whom might go bankrupt and also to reduce a lot of the new production planned. Paradoxically this may help Rex which is one of the most efficient shale producers around. I expect to see a period of crude prices in the $60 - $70 region for a few months gradually going up and stabilizing around $80-$85. Since share prices of shale producers already reflect the lower crude prices then when prices do recover , investors will plow into the most efficient producers with the most beaten down share prices - I think that Rex fits this description beautifully though I do expext Rex to cut back a bit on some of their capital programs.

    Sentiment: Hold
