Agreed. Unfortinately, same AP article appeared in this am. Boston Globe business section with the headline "False positives a concerning new colon test".

Agreed and it is the "most widely circulated medical journal in the world". Guess my East coast bias in favor of the NEJM is showing.

As a long, I too would love to see publication in the New England Journal. But am confused by the statement in the Author Center New Manuscripts: :"Manuscripts containing original material are accepted for consideration if neither the article nor any part of its essential substance, tables, or figures has been or will be published elsewhere before appearing in the Journal." As the top line data was published earlier, does this eliminate publication in the Journal? The neither nor I find confusing and perhaps someone can set me straight.
Also at last quarter's conference, did KC have a "slip of the tongue" when he was asked for more specifics regarding peer review article. He first stated "the journal" then immediately seemed to correct himself and remarked "publication" . Did" journal" refer to the New England JOURNAL
as it is affectionately known in medical circlesv back East or am I being too hopeful.
