Bobva - I don't think you can blame SODA for your decision to invest in the company; each investor has to own their decisions. SODA has not "fooled true believers . . . into believing that holding the shares would lead to huge gains;" that the company's projections and expectations have not been realized is not a deception, it's an error. No person or company can speak definitively about what the future holds, and expecting them to do so with pinpoint accuracy is unreasonable. I'm sure you don't think SODA's beating EPS expectations by $0.06, increasing Asia/Pacific sales, and consumable sales by 4.7% and 2.1%, respectively, were all deceptions.

If you are going to invest in SODA, you must understand and accept that it is volatile; you need trade around your position. Also, you should consider buying protective puts and selling calls when it's up, and buying calls when it's down.

As for the PEP development, I think it augurs what will eventually be the multi-platform approach taken by all the big soft-drink manufacturers (except KO). I expect PEP, DPS, SBUX (and any other manufacturers that will be excluded from GMCR's Cold platform) will be producing SODA Caps for SODA machines, as well as supplies for other machines. It gives them a chance to enter the home-carbonation space without spending $1.4 billion on the platform, like KO did. I think that once GMCR's Cold machine is released the superiority of SODA's carbonating system will become evident and it will take off from there. What investors really need is for the companies to start making the SODA caps and for GMCR to introduce the Cold. Just my two cents. GLTA.

Atty - Always good to hear from you my friend. I hope you've been well the last few months. As you have done in the past, I found it necessary to take some time off from contributing to the board. Too much nonsense from the hatemongers. I have continued to monitor the board for the occasional diamond-in-the-rough comments, but they are few and far between. You have been, and remain, one of the few voices of reason that post on this board. Thanks again for your contribution. - Jim
