They are expecting 50 million this year alone!
Ok folks as predicted LQMT will crawl upward until Iphone 6 and Iwatch are announced.
As a member of the Product Design Alloy Engineering team at Apple, you will help to create the next generation of the world's finest electronic devices. You will drive the rapid advancement of materials and processes that are the building blocks of our devices.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in materials and process development. A strong background in the physical metallurgy of alloys including process-structure and structure-property relationships is essential. Expertise in advanced characterization methods and familiarity with manufacturing at large scale is preferred.
You will be fully integrated with the Product Design team from the earliest stages, analyzing and informing the development and use of metals in cutting-edge products. You will work closely with many cross-functional teams including Industrial Design, Operations, and Reliability to support design and implementation of new alloys and processes.
I agree, They (Apple) are looking into applications like smart LM, sensors, microelectronics fabrication and waterproofing using LM. Replacing the aluminum chassis of Macs, Laptops and Iphone and Ipad with LM is a big savings for apple in terms of productivity, reliability and of course ($).
LM is all over the news (rumors that Apple will announce a new hardware on Wed) and the huge volume this week.
Scratch and dent proof. It's got to be elegant and not just technology
My gut feel this will ascend until that day is announced. $0.25, $0.30, $0.45, $0.50, $0.60. $0.80 $1.00 then $2.0
Wait for Boeing, Tesla, ISRG, Raytheon, Samsung, Toyota, BMC, Caterpillar, SpaceX
Compliant mechanism application is huge specially in medical devices.
