It's a good point, but if we see a general downturn it will effect all sectors
Hope you're right. Seems like we're teetering on the edge of a deflationary cycle to me.
book and cash value prior to going into debt to buy garbage "assets" from ATML. There's really no equity here anymore. this probably spiked today because some short trader decided to move his money to another juicier short position, since this is about toast now anyway
My impression was single digit millions this year and tens next year. It was vague and I agree seems aggressive
I guess nobody cares how much money they actually make? They tried to raise prices and almost destroyed themselves. Even management knows there's barely any profit in what they're doing. Is this just people dreaming that they've bought the next google, or is there some justification to the idea that this company can grow from here to justify this pps?
He asked why there is short interest. That's the short viewpoint. I still think this company is on the up n up. In fact my read is that it's a great spot to make some money in the next few weeks going long here. If I traded options I'd load up. Always a risk, but looks good imo
Stocks that have fallen as much as this one often have message board champions predicting big growth. If they really pull it off on earnings it will skyrocket, but that's a big gamble
Motley fool bubbles up stocks and then abandons them. DDD, SWIR, thoses were supposed to be retirement plays. Look at the charts. Maybe in 5 or 10 years they will show huge gains, but in the meantime a lot of investors have gotten crushed.
short trading is cynical and a little mechanical by nature. A lot of it is hedging. But remember that if you don't believe in the tech, it's just another spec stock that's hanging on by a thread. If they don't show good results soon, this company might not survive. Certainly won't maintain a market cap of hundreds of millions
