"you would be a fool not to take out at least half your investment"
The ones that have done best with NVDA have held their positions...
"what happened leading up to this point will continue in a linear fashion regardless of investment dynamics.."
Nothing is ever linear... but long term it will be up...
Agree. Their next gen GPU isn't available for sale, and hyping it would've hampered current product sales.
Impressive specs though. When they do launch... gonna do so with a lot of new eye candy.

"Not sure what to make of this IP business at this point."
All comes down to how much NVidia wants for the licensing fee.
There's a lot of competition in this space, and many are losing money so licensing fee would be low.
"Some further royalty revenue streams would sure be nice. "
You should be more concerned about losing the INtel royalty.
Last time around, INtel was in clear violation of a bus licensing agreement,

After that is settled, then the focus should be on new non-royalty revenue streams...

Backwards... you will make a lot of $$ from robots NVidia will be the brains for pattern recognition.
" wandering stock price in the $30-$35 range until revenue/profit change.
For me, that works fine. I collect the dividends."
Me too... collecting dividends.
IF INtel ever opens their fabs.... I will more than double my INTC position.
INtel could have new high-margin revenue instead of contra revenue...
Just a matter of time...

"When was a takeover/buyout ever under consideration?
(I don't think there was ever any remotely credible rumor on this.)"
