I think that most if not all the small to medium PM Miners appear to be in trouble. According to many economists we never recovered in 2008, just printed a lot of $$$ to string it along, but "HOW" can the market be in such a mess and last 7 more years and is still going strong. The US dollar is actually continuing higher....HOW? This is an article that most owning AUY may want to read , if they haven't already...http://seekingalpha.com/article/1547232-will-a-major-gold-miner-go-broke
Most of these leveraged/Inverse EFT's and ETN's I have looked into have something fundamentally wrong with them period. Even though we are on the cusp of a collapse, these bear markets investments continue to go south. What I find strange is it is not a "Bear" vs "Bull" issue. In many cases and most I have found is that both sides are terrible investments unless you know when to trade them, and believe me there is not much logic in any charts I have found. Good Luck!!!
TVIX is this low and its never been diluted. Am I getting incorrect information or has TVIX never reverse split before? If its true and its never split....Its even more of a rip-off then I thought!!!
I think Shark Tank was a great show until its producers started to doctor up the true message for success really is. They went from hard work, logical thinking and making sound business decisions without hurting others... too how much can we stomp on most peoples dreams to make it to the water cooler the next day. Its a lot like Boxing vs UFC. Once you see UFC, you know its not quite right but you can't stop watching. We are worried about football players? These guys have 10 years tops. Every year after that, you are basically getting beat up more then you beating up the other guy. When they interview these guys in there 50's and 60's they might not even know how to talk.
Money may appear to be everything, but life will eventually show you that its not.
I came across so many inverse and bear related derivatives funds and notes, but TVIX according to its past definition and value is the biggest loser I have found. Now its not even a short term trade without great risks.
Nothing much has changed since 2008 that I can see. Its still a market rising from borrowed money. The one thing that may have changed for the worse is the number and caliper of derivatives in the market. Anything you can imagine to bet on is in this market, EVEN if you pick the right bet you still may lose in the long run. I see derivatives that appear to be opposite from each other both losing money. There are so many of the "Bear/Inverse" derivatives that will not do what they say unless there is a disaster and even then will the company be a float to pay you.
These types of derivatives make up a lot of the market. Good luck finding one that does what it says.
Name a state where individuals can bet with each other legally? I did not think it was legal to bet without a license and a state that allows it in the first place. Am I wrong?
You do not deserve a thumbs down because you stated your opinion, yet I am curious where you got those numbers...thanks
